BIG Brother's Craig Phillips has been hailed a hero for restraining a man who punched a fellow panto actor on stage.
Shocked fans including kids saw ex-bouncer Craig, 33, leap into action when the man got on stage during Aladdin and hit DJ Chris "Edgy" Edgecombe.
Thai boxing black belt Craig subdued the man at the Princess Theatre, Torquay, on Friday.
The man turned out to be in a party of people with learning difficulties, but Craig said: "I had no way of knowing that.
"He was a big man waving his arms around with cast members, including children, on the stage.
"The audience were screaming, 'Look behind you!' I swivelled round to see him land a beauty right on Edgy's chin.
"I raced over and grabbed him round the arms. I managed to overpower him and bundle him off stage."
Chris said: "Craig averted what could have been a very nasty incident."
