I feel violated!

Today has been a very bad day at work. The day itself was just like any other. But I got a text from a very good friend after I had finished warning me that something had happened at work.

We have an email that gets sent to the whole company from one of the publication designers in which he selects 8 members of staff and says which celeb they look like. It’s normally all in good taste, I’ve even been on it a while back as Morticia Adams as I have very naturally dark hair.
But today I was Ozzy Ozborne……. I’m mortified and very upset at the thought of anyone thinking I, a 28 year old woman, could look like a 50ish man!

I know it was a joke but I think he took it a wee bit too far! Most people get a little rib from him but I really took this to heart.
Now I have to face up to the lads on the dealing desk when I walk into work tomorrow. It's something I'm really not looking forward to

I can't really give you advice, cos I don't know this guy, but do you think he meant to upset you? Perhaps he didn't realize how it would make you feel?
I've upset people without meaning to, by taking a joke a bit too far.

Aw Kiz maybe he didn't mean to hurt your feelings but it was a silly thing to say none the less seeing as you don't look like Ozzy.

It was all sorted before I even got into work. My boss had seen the email and given the person who did the email a rollacking.
A few people said stuff but it was mainly them commenting how it being bad tatse

Seriously though, don't let the b@st@rd get to you. It's horrible when someone makes fun of how you look, even if they don't actually mean it. Few of us have enough self-esteem to just brush it off. I know I would be upset about it if it were me, but look at it this way:

1. You look feck all like Ozzy.
2. Most people probably agree with my first point there.
3. It seems that there are a lot of your colleagues who think it was in bad taste.

and...

4. He's obviously a w@nker!
