The main reason it's sh!t is because:

A) It's far too obvious that it's the tree. It stands out in the bathroom and is totally out of place.
B) The tasks just aren't good enough. Spend a couple of hours with a housemate you hate? Pfft.
C) The punishments are crap and it's far too lenient, especially with Ben.
D) Everyone knows about it. It would've worked far better in CBB7 had Jonas kept his mouth shut.

The second the tree gave Ben that bulls*it punishment was the second we knew the tree had died.

Ben going out to the crowd last week was more of a punishment than the Tree's one infact it would of worked for it because didn't the tree say:

I kinda agree with ILoveRTW - I think its presence makes the experience more of a holiday camp rather than, well, Big Brother...the point is that the only House interference and voices are meant to be authoritative, not some cockney wideboy.

If the producers had any creative spark they could easily come up with something new tp replace him. Sadly, they just don't seem to care enough to make the effort.
