He has a very competitive nature, sure. He's a bloke. That doesn't mean he has a gameplan. I dunno, I just think you like to dissect someone's personality so much you start to imagine things that probably aren't there. I'm not ruling it out, but I haven't seen any signs that would indicate he's being false. I think he does genuinely admire Josie, otherwise he'd constantly be making sexual advances towards her, which he NEVER does. He's very shy and insecure around her. Yes, but she can sense that he doesn't really fancy her. That is why she has some anger towards him. The girl is frustrated.

I'm not one who ever hates HMs. But I just see how he is ticking the boxes that potential winners should tick. I certainly see his inconsistencies. Which is exactly what you get when you put out a load of BS.

Sounds petty, but I think his applying moisturisers in the dark kinda sums him up. Its a good example of how conscious he is of what impression he gives of himself. He doesn't want to look like a vain metrosexual because it doesn't fit the shy modesty schtick that he's parading.
