New Moderators needed (Closing date: 16th July 5pm)

As you can probably tell, the forum is a little busy right now, and a lot of our moderators aren't online that often.

*Anyone* can apply by sending me a PM letting me know that you'd like to help out over BB, and why you'd like to be a moderator. Things we are looking for are activity, friendliness, and ability to remain neutral in certain topics. Your reasons for applying should be because you have some spare time over BB and want to help keep the board in shape. If you're just looking to get revenge on posters you don't like by moderating their posts, that's not really what we want. ;)

I would think there will be two, maybe 3 spots available.

Closing date for applications is friday 16th july at 5pm. Nothing sent after this will even be considered.

In response to your question. Yes we are BB fans, but when we took the mod job we all had different circumstances and points in our life. Some mods have not got as much free time as they did last year or the year before, the whole reason we were offered the job. It was not based on a permanent position, but we still try to do what we can, when we can.

I do feel for Vicky and working so hard, she does an amazing job, and yes I would love to help her out more, but I have a limited access to the internet for the next 3 months. I have said to Mark and James and I have even offered a few suggestions of who would make a great mod on here.

They are sorting it guys. :hugesmile:

I believe that the essential elements a moderator needs to possess are temperance, intelligence and an indepedent mind, not known for any kind of favouritism within the forum. I think it should be somebody who floats about the place really, and who posts reasonable, well crafted and articulate responses.

I would love people like Shasown, BB_Eye, Bansheewails, Karl or Iceman as mods. Cara, Claudia, BBfan1991 or Jords might do well too. They all do their own thing.

Example of the top of my head, there are a number of threads on JJ and Bens argument last night regarding what was said and the context in which is was said, why haven't some of them been merged? Yet there are mods currently posting.
