Yeah, I love the irony of this. It's like Metallica releasing an album free with the Metro with instructions on how to rip and share it on Pirate Bay.

Prince declares "The internet's completely over"...
Unlike most other rock stars, he has banned YouTube and iTunes from using any of his music and has even closed down his own official website.
He says: "The internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it.
"The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
"They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."

He's living in the past. He could expand his audience with digital music. Oh well, his loss.

In the 1990's, he changed his name to this unpronouncable symbol.

So people called him the Artist Formerly Known as Prince for convenience. The reason he did this is because he felt Warner Bros. were giving him a raw deal and limiting his creative freedom so he didn't want the albums he would release under Warner Records to bear his real name. He changed his name back to Prince in 2000. This was when his contract with Warner Records ended.

You MUST have heard When Doves Cry? Kiss? Purple Rain?! (even if you've only heard the latter by Ruth Lorenzo ¬__¬)

Prince is such an icon, I bought his Greatest Hits on a whim for £4 and never regretted it. Always worth a good listen!
