can she say a sentance without the words 'I' or 'me' in it. its irritating me already how she hijacks a conversation to inform us all what 'I' did and where 'I' was, or if it was 'me'.

The term chav is pretty much exclusively used to describe a certain type of young white person - rarely for ethnic minorities.

I am so sick of see that word on this forum, especially from people who don;t know what it means.

Anyone who has ever done anything even remotely constructive with their life is NOT a chav.

Therefore anyone on TV is not a chav...unless they are on crimewatch or some show like that!

Aha, thank you for the link.
The Burberry caps and track suits brought it all back to me. I think the local word for it was Charver back in the late nineties when my kids were young.

This is why i asked specifically of a non white person, because i only ever hear chav in association to white people.
