I'd take that as a compliment. Hawkins is one of the great thinkers of our time and judging by the attitudes on here that is something of a rarity that isn't afforded the respect it should be. Ben was clearly trying to be bitchy but how can anyone not admire a man who passed his A'levels at age 13.

Let's face it, he could probably do her job standing on his head, but she could never do his. She was trying to belittle his line of work by being deliberately flippant and insulting. Andrew should take it as a compliment to be thought of as a genius, now the Cruella nickname made me giggle, from walking into the house she more or less been bossy, very forthright in her questioning etc. I do not think she will be there for the long haul somehow.
Ben has been a bit unnerved by the newbies, as has Dave and JJ. It will take a few days for them to settle back into the routine I think.

I can be as mean and vitriolic as the next person if I think someone is being manipulative or nasty, but I really don't get that vibe from Ben at all. If he is playing a game it's got to be the most ridiculous one of all - NOT doing tasks, NOT helping with the housework, Constantly putting his foot in it and inadvertently insulting people? And yet it seems the HMs who hated him at the start are coming around to the Ben love (Shabby and Nathan both stated they love him now). I would love to have Ben as a friend in the real world - I think he is fundamentally a kind person, and is always the first to apologise if he thinks he's upset someone.
