Steve seems to have had a great night tonight on the live feed he has been roaming all over the house and seems to have been in the middle of everything its great to see him coming out of his shell more and i hope it continues.
His confidence seems to have been really boosted and he is really having fun and has a grin on his face i think it has just taken him a long time to get comfortable on there.
anybody agree?
i hope they show more of him on the highlights.

I agree, he's really begining to join in more with the other housemates rather than just sitting on the sofas all day i also think the new housemates have played a part in his new lease of life too, i think he was starting to get a bit bored with it all before they arrived.

He's still a boring ***** with nothing interesting to say except gloating about his nickname that no one but Ben and Dave call him :rolleye:

He is just turning it on for Keeley and trying to act like the cool daddy.
She will be the downfall of him, wait and see, unless he is up to go this friday (via Caoimhe S&R). It might be a case of the 'Nathans'... too little too late.

yeas its great to see whether it is because he has just made a concerted effort to join in more or whether its because the new housemates have just given him a boost good on him i really want him to carry it on.

you hate all the housemates so ok.

just because you dont find him interesting doesnt mean other people dont you slammed him when he was part of the 81 possibles its a shame you wont allow yourself to change your mind instead of stubbornly sticking to instant thoughts.

maybe maybe not but at least he is playing a hand instead of just cashing his chips in and waiting for them to nominate him.

I'm not a fan of Steve to be honest and I fear that he gets the sympathy treatment from viewers, he doesn't say much to keep me interested, I can fully accept him not doing much to keep me interested due to his disability, I can appreciate that anything he does do is a testiment to his will but its when he opens his mouth he doesn't seem to have anything to say worthwhile to me, the only thing I've really noticed from him is that he seems to be bad mouthing John James whenever the chance arises to all different housemates, its not over the top, its very subtle yet never appears to directly question him about it.
I think Steve could be a massive help to JJ, if he could call him out on his attitude sometimes and get into why JJ does like to argue then he could show him what he had to do and what he had to use as his motivation when coming through what he went through, but instead he would rather whisper about him behind his back

very good post and welcome to the forum :wavey:
I do agree with what your saying the father figure role is sat there on a plate for him especially being a father of 8 and i think that is why he was put in the house as someone that could pull the kids in the house aside when they were struggling and say look this is what matters not crab eyes/crisps/onions or whatever the hell that days drama was and he just hasnt stepped into that role i have no idea why :conf:
so i can understand the criticism towards him because he has not seen or maybe just ignored the main reason he was chosen but i just hope he can find himself a proper place in the house which he shows signs of doing the last couple of days he has been much more involved which i like and i hope continues.
anybody can can slag him off as much as they like its just the people that resort to personal attacks that offend other people that annoy me.

This is why S&R is a good thing. Nathan going up/leaving shook the comatose HMs back to life. Or in Steve's case, for the very first time.

I do! I think it is about time he was able to have some fun! Keeley's presence has been good for him - given him a bit of spark! I like him - and think he is as entitled as the rest of them to let his hair down (excuse the pun) and have some fun - be himself, warts and all!
