Was watching some Hendrix videos on YouTube and this was in the suggestions along the right-hand side.

I can honestly say I had goosebumps all over! I've heard of Janis alot throughout my life but never tok the time to check out her material, what a waste! I've not been 'moved' so much by a performance in a long, long time.

I've already downloaded her Greatest Hits and read about her life story all in an hour of first "discovering her".

Any other Joplin fans?

That sounded like a baroque fugue at the beginning.

Amazing rendition by the way.

Yeah, love Janis ..... ;)

"Cheap Thrills" by Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis as primary lead vocalist is an almost perfect rock album .....

Recommended follow-up is Big Mama Thornton who wrote "Ball 'n' Chain" and recorded the first version of "Hound Dog", released later by Elvis ..... ;)
