Why does no one ever let Ben talk???

Every time anyone has a go at Ben they never let him talk, has anyone noticed that? People keep going on at him but I can't think of a single time he's randomly thrown out an insult for no reason at all.

My opinion is he does it in such a clever way, that it does not always come across as an insult. He patronises and tried to put words/thought in peoples head, beside once Ben gets the chance to talk he does not shut up!!!!!

They shout him down because they can not equal his capacity for speaking. A lot of halwits really do believe that those who shouts loudest are in the right, when actually the opposite normally applies.
He is not aggressive or even very assertive, he really should walk away a little earlier than he does.

I certainly don't get the impression that everyone talks over him. He would follow them around the house until he had his say.

It may be because they have listened to Ben harp on in the past.

Ben employs two tactics when arguing, waffling on forever is a good tactic, the other person gives Ben a good listening to then loses the will to live in some cases.

However his best and most effective tactic is to ignore what the other person is talking about or at most giving it minimal acknowledgement then attack some facet of the person criticising him so as to put them on the defensive.

Both tactics divert the argument from the original issue and the criticism of Ben who walks off away from the argument with the other participant wondering what happened.

Agree with the OP. I'm both a Ben and JJ fan.

But last night JJ kept interrupting when Ben was speaking during the row and then minutes later, Ben butted in just the once and JJ said...

"Are you gonna let me talk? Or you going to talk over me?"
