I don't watch BBUSA, but American broadcasting laws are a lot stricter than ours in the UK.
I might be wrong but as far as I'm aware, '****' and most other profanities are censored.

Yeah America doesn't allow for swearing, sex or nudity to be shown in programs unless it's on a subscription channel.

Probably because it is on 9/8c which means in California it is actually airing at 6pm.

Many reasons, I'll say 2.
1. It's on at 8/7c, which is before the watershed.
2. They have stricter laws that ours.

LOL @ my post being edited. You could've at least left the 'f' and 'k' in, so everyone knows which word I'm referring to.

yeah you can only say like bitch and piss before late hours and there is no nudity or sex scenes until like after 12, unless its on a channel you have to buy. We cant sing on Big Brother ether =/

It's broadcast at 8PM in all US time zone (except US Central time, where it's at 7PM). The live eviction show is only "live" on the East coast.
But no matter what time it's broadcast, foul language and nudity simply isn't allowed on US broadcast TV. BB After Dark, though, is on a subscription channel (Showtime 2). I believe that shows almost everything.

Yeah, there is alot of censorship. Sometimes ass can be shown but usually not. Definitely no breasts, no swearing except for 'damn' 'hell' and 'bitch'.
When I first watched BBUK I was shocked because of the nudity and cussing that was shown.

Damn isn't counted as one, but I think 'Ass' is one. I know 'piss' isn't.

That must be **** living in Cali then, you see shows 4 hours behind NY.

3 hours, but it doesn't matter much. Besides, sporting events and most awards shows are presented live across the country, regardless on time zone.
The fun part is watching BBUK and some other BBC shows the same night they're broadcast in the UK (versus watching BBC America, where some shows are a YEAR behind!)

No, it's 3 hours behind and if you have Tivo (it may be for other networks too I dont know) each channel has a east coast duplicate, meaning you could actually watch a show that's normally on at 9, at 6. So it's like having it three hours earlier.

The FCC is no longer in charge of censoring television, so expect some things sliding by from now on - maybe not on CBS/ABC/NBC, but probably on MTV/VH1/FX/Comedy Central, etc. So they can't be fined for showing nudity or swearing anymore. Changes may come.

America is alot stricter than here.
I remember Steven Baldwin saying that you would NEVER EVER EVER see a nude girl in the paper in America but it's normal here LOL
Personally I prefer the UK when it comes to media/entertainment wise, whilst we may not have all those celebrities we still aren't as uptight and strict about having a good time and showing basically anything on telly.

It's the PC factor. A few people cry and act like babies because they can't censor what their children view because they are **** parents, so those some **** parents will complain and bitch to the network who has no choice but make things more "Viewer Friendly". But that's changing now. Thank god. Television Producers need not cave into the demands of a small group of offended people.
