How did they pass that?

Part of the pass was clearly 'to speak like Ben for 24 hours', and they clearly didnt do that...

Did I miss something? How did he get his case back?

It was the biggest farce of a task that i have ever seen, he was getting that suitcase back no matter what.

It stinks worse that Benny-boy (who Dave tells us never showers)

So it was bascially just an excuse to give Ben camera time and punt him up the bookies faves again?

Shameful tbh.

Ben has feck all to offer when it's just him, as has been proven. He only gets really popular when he is given a stroryline in tasks etc, and thats just horse sh1t imo. BB should let him sink or swim on his own merits without this special hype.

...As I said earlier... it was all about Ben... there is no way they won that task. How come Ben had an evening all about him... It was pathetic and embarrassing.

All becming too obvious.

It wasn't a task, just some crap to get Ben more camera time. IMO, BB are completely trying to manipulate the viewing public. He's the most selfish HM in there, he didn't even take his punishment which he got from the tree, instead passed it onto Dave, so what do they do? Give back his suitcase and an entire night based around him.

I guess they had to give him his case back at some point and since he showed absolutely no interest in earning it they had to basically con a performance out of him, that might have got him TV time tonight but do you really think it would have won him fans? the guy is the equivalent of watching paint dry

Well my take is that far from trying to promote Ben, BB were trying to ridicule him - having everyone dress up as Ben and mimic his accent, whilst Ben was unaware of WHY they were doing it. Ben found it unnerving and a bit upsetting at first. As for the suitcase he should have got it back ages ago -the punishment went on far too long. Of course they were always going to give it back to him, five weeks is long enough without your own clothes.

As for the Ben Show, again more opportunities to try and ridicule him, but as usual he took it in his stride and got on with it, with the sporting participation of Corin. The Ben Commandments were great too, - another HM such as JJ or Keeva would have had a power trip on that.

So my view is that BB's attempt to put Ben in his place by supposedly "teaching" him the meaning of team spirit actually backfired in Ben's favour, as usual. He really is the teflon man, no **** sticks to him:laugh: For once us Ben fans got a fair share of the HLs away from the air time bandits JJ&J and their tedious "relationship".

Well, his odds have shortened following it, as they always do when a HM is given a fun task that showcases them.

Take from that what you will.

This is kind of how I saw it too.
My interest in him had started to wane a little but tonight showed a willingness to throw himself headlong into a task and to do so humorously too. Bad luck BB better luck next time.

I did think maybe this could go against Ben....but has it?? Ben wasn't 'playing along with it'...he took it all soooo seriously.Didnt you see his face when he was playing the piano. He really thinks he was educating people.... he is very SAD individual.

As for failing the task, nearly every TOT has failed this last while. What's the point of trying to pass it when the "wrath" is a joke and they know it.

Just shows how boring this series is if people are still bringing up the tree task which was wees ago.

Airtime is airtime. No matter what they do some people will say they did well and others will say they did badly. But hey, people will be talking about Ben and thats all that matters. This was FREE airtime for Ben and the producers know this will probably result in more fans for their chosen one.

Sick to death of the Ben show, JJ will be up this week probably with keeva, Ben wont get nominated because the housemates wont want to risk being up against him as they will feel that he is one of BB's favourites - when is this Bull sh*t gonna stop - two Fridays now he has been highlighted on the eviction show, then again highlighted with his 'little performance' for the housemates - if I was in the house I would be really cheesed off. And for all you JJ haters, take him out of the equation and whats left?????? People will be switching off in droves because it is so boring.

Girth, have you noticed that Bens odds has shortened massively since the task and camera time?

Coincedence eh? ;)

People saying that the whole thing wasnt designed to promote him, and even more confusing to somehow nobble him (lol), are either naive or pretty silly imo. On his own he fades into the wallpaper and BB knows this.

Airtime for Ben. One boring prat was enough but to have a house full of Bens? Yawn.
At least it gave Benny more reasons to feel sorry for himself. Not exactly what BB had in mind.

I thought it was a fun task that brought most of the house together, except JJ and Caoimhe, for some gentle fun.

but there is no way they actually passed it

It was a rubbish task really. Ben got all camera time and was pretty dull with it really. Plus his little party thing at the end was ridiculous. Also the 'Ben Commandments' were sooo pointless.

I'm taking partial credit for the task as it was my idea to have the Ben Talk Show. The purpose?
Simply to provide one of the most entertaining moments in BB history. It may have been one of the funniest scenes this (or any other) season. Comedy gold. I wouldn't care if we found out Ben was an actor playing a character because anyone who can describe himself as the son of a anglo-american father and swiss mother of austro-italian extraction and therefore 'basically the DNA of James Bond' wins legendary BB HM status.
not to mention his 'air quotes' at 'team player' was pure comedy gold.

You know something.. a lot of people have tough lives, miserable jobs, are depressed, heartbroken, just tired from a long days work.
They come home, they want to forget their worries and this task provided that opportunity.
It made people laugh out loud. For just a moment they smiled. they had to laugh.
THAT is the good work and purpose of that task.
There you have it.

ben wont be up cos most of the house LIKE him.:joker:

JJ ,may be up cos a lot dont like him:bawling:

hopefully Caoimhe will be up because they all dislike her:dance:

and as for your last part ....take JJ out of the house and we might get to see a little more fun rather than his hateful bile and gameplaying:sleep:

Angus58 is pot on, BB hoped Bne would flop, but Ben was reasoned, thought of others and out on a light hearted show too, assisted by Corin, just like the stand up comedy task to the crowd, it backfired on BB,they all did for the 24 hours dress like Bne, keep their hair on and most, with the exception of Corin and JJ who have too strong accents, also kept to talking sort of more posh. As in all tasks it has to be assessed that overall the ffort was there and near all the elements were passed, that was what happened and because of the overall result of the task,Bne rightly got his case back, but what a disgrace that he hasn't had it back sooner, imagine a female member denied her case for so long, there would be uproar and complaints even to the regulator.
