View Full Version : Hypocritical Josie?

Ok, so tonights episode pretty much centered around Josie, rallying up the troops because of her jealousy of JJ and Caoimhe's friendship! YET, she has been using jealousy as her own weapon for some time aswel, ie. Andrew. Now that Andrew has revealed to actually have feelings for Josie, and we saw him telling JJ to stop giving her a hard time....is Andrew going to become the thorn in this love triangle, rather than Caoimhe who quite clearly is just a friend to both of them as she has a boyfriend outside the house, and how come nobody else in the house has called Josie out on her bitchyness towards Caoimhe when she was trying to make JJ jealous herself with Andrew.....

Poor Andrew - I would have thought he would have been better at seeing through Josie! Josie is shallow though, and goes for the good-looking ones! Andrew doesn't live up to her aspirations!

cosign OP,im starting to become increasingly frustrated with josie, she was doing so well to begin with, but all this jj and caoimhe situation is showing her up a little..she didnt seem to have much problem with andrew, nathan and whoever else lusting after her when she knew john liked her,she had no issue with bitching about numerous housemates in their and yet accuses john and caoimhe of being the main bitches in the house.. tonights show alone showed her bitching far more than both jj and caoimhe put together..

and maybe its just me but the novelty value of that bristolian (or isit bristonian) accent has now worn off, everything about her is starting to irritate me.. hope shes up this week ..

The jealousy thing is half the problem, and I admit fully that she has been playing that game somewhat herself.

The other half of the situation is the way that her 'friend' Caoimhe, with no attraction to JJ herself, has used her flirting with him to deliberatly wind Josie up with smirks, smug looks, and obviously targetted under her breath comments. This has p1ssed Josie off as much as the jealosy because Josie sees it as pretty much a betrayal after she gave Caoimhe her hand in friendship when Shabby left.

It is exactly the same caoimhe we have seen since day 1 though, but some have short memories and a week of riding Josie's coat tails under the radar has made a lot of people forget.

Very little of the second half of all this has been shown though, so, to be fair, most arnt even aware of it.

loll andrew telling john "shes mine now" was pretty jokes though,i agree though i think andrew is just too nice to realise josie isnt being as genuine as he is. sad but i think so far andy's been a good choice for the house, even though i didnt think so at first

i dont think caoimhe is deliberatly trying to get at josie though, aside from the fact josie was doing that with jj,caoimhe has alligned herself with jj and josie since shabby left, they speak and get along well,i dont see why josie has an issue with jj talking to her when josie berates john more time when he's not around.. caoimhe isnt actually toying with jj or even overly flirting with jj imo..

I'm not going to lie, I really am bias in that I actually like Caoimhe and always have from the beginning of the series, yes she is bitchy, clever and Trouble....but like herself and JJ said tonight, the house would be full of ass lickers and pretentious friendships if the two of them weren't there to stir things up a bit! Like it gives us something to watch rather than....1.23 PM Dave is in the Sung talking to Ben about the weather..... 7.48 PM, Josie is making Toast in the kitchen.... Like it's in a weird way, entertaining....

Like so is this whole Josie situation it's very good TV, but has just turned Josie's popularity upside down!!!! Which is a shame because I was begining to think up until this weekend that she had a real shot at winning this year! I'm just so frustrated that she has trapped poor Andrew in her web!! He has so much potential and I know fear that she may drag him down with her! S:

I have linked the fact if I like a person or not to the fact they are a good or bad HM. :)

I havent liked Ben from the start, but have repeatedly said he is good for the house (well, he used to be... he bores me a lot now) and I wouldnt want him to go before the final, and I think generally the same of Caoimhe (though I don't want her in the final).

The show needs a villian (in my eyes) for it to have any interest for me and Caoimhe fills that role nicely.

I could not have said it any better myself!! I completely agree with you there to be honest!! I had kind of hoped Keeley had amazing potential to take over as the house bitch but she has really has been a disappointment! She's just become Steve's toy!

not usually tbf but i do tune in on occasion, like yesterday they were all cuddling up to each other, josie was all snuggled up with jj and caoimhe was with mario then snuggled up with john, but then snuggled up to josie so i dont see it like she's all over john.. i take your point thought perhaps theres something you guys are seeing that i am not,but from where i am josie spent her time with andrew and plays the hard done by fat bird who's lusting over someone who she thinks is out of her league, but then she spends her time talking about how much of a knob he is,and how he bitches too much,as if she doesnt.. i take it you are a fan of josie and so choose not to believe she is far worst than john or caoimhe?

I do like Josie, yeah, but I do fully admit that her jealosy in this is out of control and half the problem. I am not trying to remove the blame from her, merely see it spread around those who deserve it.

I think if you watched Caoimhe, and indeed many situations, with an open mind on LF you see things differently. It's hard to form a rounded unbalanced opinion off the HLs and the official website.

I don't expect you to trust me, but Caoimhe knows exactly whats going on, just as she did with Shabby, and is playing it for her own amusement. It's just a shame that amusement involves sh1tting on a friends trust by openly flirting with a bloke that he dosent even fancy herself.

But she has spent hours talking to him this morning and there is absolutely no flirting going on. Once again it is all about noms.
When are we going to get housemates stopped from talking nominations.

yeah my opinion isnt solely based on the HL show, also i dont check the official website, but from what ive seen,i dont see it as flirting, simply as two friends who speak on a level, just as john hugs andrew,or lays on dave,he's just a touchy feely type of lad, also caiomhe and him speak and have a mutual respect for each other,so what is just two grown adults enjoying one another's company is it not possible that its just as innocent as that?

also my point about josie was more so,aside from the fact she flirts with who she wants, she does not have dibs on john,if she did then she would lay off other lads and exclusively be his,but she isnt,so why should he? furthermore jj speaking to keeley was out of the question for josie too,its not about any individual josie just wants john to herself, and thats never gonna be the case..

you will probably completely disagree with my next point entirely but meh,i personally dont think caoimhe even mislead shabby in to thinking anything that wasnt true.. shabby knew the score, once caoimhe says im not interested it was clear to all (although her necking on shabby wasnt the best move but i think she was drunk at the time).. like no one comments on caoimhe kissing keeley's neck, snogged mario on friday just gone,so she's a bit of a good time girl, nothing more... imo i should add lol

Nah, I am sorry, I do watch a lot of HM (I work from home and have it on in the background) and I see a completely different caoimhe to you.

I see her smirking and pushing buttons, entertaining herself at the expense of others.

No, I agree that Josie has no dibbs.

But for Caoimhe to deliberatly flirt with a guy that she knows her 'friend' in into, even though she has no interest in him herself, for her own entertainment is just nasty.

It's just clearly saying 'I can have him off you anytime', while smugly smirking at them, and is a very malicious way to act, especially to a friend.

again i dont think its that black and white, for instance caoimhe does have that kind of face where it may portray an innocent act of friendship to look a little more sinister..

but to be real with you bro, josie hasnt said much except i kind of fancy him,oh wait now i dont,oh maybe i do,so their isnt really anything for her to complain about should caoimhe even choose to flirt with john.. with that said, she was one of the few helping josie with the whole john situation in the first place,so to say she's nasty just because she speaks to someone who she gets along with in the house is a little silly, josie has free reign to speak and act how she wants, flashing andrew at any given moment, putting her arms round him.. so whats wrong with caoimhe speaking to john?personally i dont think its that bad as is being made out..

There is nothing wrong with anyone talking to anyone, ofc. I have pretty much answered this though?

The point I am making, which I have observed in her, is that she does nothing except for her own amusement, no matter what that amusement costs her 'friend' emotionally.

No, I do not agree its her face that makes innocent actions look sinister, I think it's just that her motivations are actually, in fact, sinister.

No, that isnt all that I have said.. really. Here is a requote of a little of what I have said;

I can see where your coming from with the whole "smirking" thing byt like you have to understand these guys are "friends" Like Caoimhe didnt initially realize that Josie was mad at her and thought she was just messing around with her and JJ!! Like Caoimhe is a real messer like you can tell, she reall just want to prank people and have a good time which she has proven a number of times in this last week alone, so I think that her smirks and whatnot could be misinterpreted sometimes... as coming across as being in a malicious manner just because of the "character" she is perceived as in the house!

This is just it. Nothing has actually happened. When quizzed by JJ in the bathroom 2 nights ago in a highly illuminating conversation (in the context of Josie's neurosis and attempts at turning JJ away from Keeva) Josie said that Keeva was intentionally making her jealous with the smirks and the like. JJ said but you have tried to do exactly the same to me by mucking about with Andrew, where on she agreed but claimed that the difference was that Keeva was being smarmy and underhand about it. So all we really have are the perceptions of a jealous and mixed up woman to base this accusation on. The fact is that Josie had made the situation worse by changing beds which has lead her imagination to run riot. When she says that JJ and Keeva are sleeping together to the other HMs, it's as if they are having sex - nothing had changed other than Josie was no longer in the bed. At the moment JJ and Keeva seem to be enjoying each others company in a sort of playful way (hiding the plates etc last night) which for JJ is probably just some light relief from the heavy situations with Josie. Keeva really is a selfish person in every respect but I believe that she actually does like Josie and if Josie should be angry with anyone (other than herself of course) it should be JJ, her best mate who has left her in the sidelines... but only because he was pushed.

problem with this though is that they are ALL TALK and NO ACTION so they end up being just as boring as the rest.

Absolutely.
"Oi'm not the brightest person in here but..." "Oi don't pick up on much 'round here but..." "Xyz told me that..." These are all well used devices which down play her actual level of involvement to the situations which enable her to pass on the information that she wanted to without actually taking any responsibility.

Exactly!
