Just so you all know, I've seen people mention it's on a 5 minute delay but it's not. Direct from the official site.

They've altered the HMs oven clock so that it is 5 minutes ahead of "real" outside time

If you mean the oven clock, no it used to show the correct "real" time but then you could tell that there was a 15 minute delay when a housemate called out the time, was particularly annoying for the producers on "live" eviction nights when the delay could be up to 45 minutes!

We have known this for years, and sometimes it is on a 5 minute delay actually because the housemates say the time and it's only a few minutes behind us.

Not everyone did, I wasn't asking each individual. But thanks for clearing that up.

HMs have to go by their oven clock, they have NO way of knowing the correct time and just have to accept what the producers have set the clock to.

By the way guys, I'm so very sorry for informing people something they might have not known. If you had read my original post I said I had read people stating it as 5 minutes delayed so I was just clearing up any misconceptions. I don't see why some arrogant users feel the need to insult me because of it.

You'll get used to it and the reason they thought it was on a 5 minute delay was because of the producers tinkering with the oven clock.
Some people are brainwashed by Ch4 and Endemol's propaganda machine!

Please note that for legal and compliance reasons there is a 15 minute time delay in the streamed Content and there may be some breaks in streaming during some selected events such as evictions.

The CYA catch all get out!
and anyway 15 minutes is MORE than enough time to edit out unwanted segments, censoring is just a lazy cop-out!

Yeah, then this is not needed in the T&Cs....
You understand that the Content may contain nudity or other material of a sexual nature, or may include content that you may consider offensive or otherwise objectionable. You agree that we shall have no liability to you for any Content that may be found to be offensive or otherwise objectionable.
But, yeah, I agree what your saying about the editing.

The 15 minute delay is an industry imposed requirement, following recommendations by both OfCom and Oftel.
Following a variety of programs both on TV and Radio were the presenters have blurted out swear words, the recommendations were put forward by the two regulators as a reasonable time for both censoring offensive remarks and also for editorial staff to consult legal staff over the legality of the content to be aired.
The 15 minute rule is also applied to most radio programs. A few of the exceptions are some phone in shows(were the time delay is dropped to about 30 seconds) and some sporting events. e.g from overseas screening like the World cup coverage, even then there is an extended delay for censoring.

Radio can edit in 30 seconds but Endemol needs 15 minutes and then just hits the "Birdies" button, sloppy and lazy!

Lol. Known this for several years. A big clue being when they actually mention the time on the cooker clock and its 15mins ahead.

Have they really changed the cooker time and put it forward by 15 mins:eek: because Friday night rachel said the time was 4.30 am and it was the actual same time on my pc:conf:
However I have known about the up to 15 min delay sometimes it is only 5 mins delay but I never knew they changed the clock time too
