Does anyone else here like the band, HURTS?
They've been compared to Depeche Mode but are probably a tad more.. pop.
-avoids shots from stu-

this was their first single, 'Better Than Love':

I've got loads of their demos and my fave is Illuminated (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXRxaItZGUM), can't wait to hear the album version!
Oh, and they also covered Diana Vickers' Once (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSuGbEGeYYE) in the Live Lounge.

I <3 them :)
Anyone else a fan?

same, Jonnii. It made The XX's seem jubilant.

I have completely fallen in love with them. People compare them to Depeche way too much in terms of sound I think. I don't get it at all. More Pet Shop Boys maybe ... but I like the whole taking the Italian slow disco all synthpop. Theo Hutchcraft is one of the hottest guys walking the planet and Adam Anderson namechecks Black Celebration as his favourite album ever.

Whats not to love?

The fact that they have not plastered themselves all over the charts is as of yet a mystery.

This kind of music does get a lot more respect in central Europe. Always has since the 80's.

It falls into a strange niche here. Not kiddie enough to be radio friendly pop, not man enough to be mindless cock rock. That's a gross generalisation but it's always been the rule of thumb.
