View Full Version : What a difference a year makes

This is one of my first posts, but I thought I would pass on a conversation we were having in work today. I dont know how it came up but someone said "Do you remember what we were all like this time last year with BB2?". "It was completely mad wasnt it". How the memories came flooding back. The arguing about whether or not Paul did care for Helen (most of the lads said he didnt, but the more romantic members were proved right in saying you just had to look at the way he looked at her. I'm afraid not much work was done this time last year. We were all completely hooked what with the playfight in the garden, snakes and ladders in the den, cuddles under the blankets etc etc. All topped off by the outrageous Brian. And at the end we all went into terminal decline. But not this year, I'm sorry we have watched but none of us have been able to get the same enthusiam, the group just are not so likeable. Anyone else having a leap back in time to those heady days.

Definitely. I have got more into this series as the weeks have gone on, but it just doesn't compare with the atmosphere and the tensions that were going on this time last year.
When BB2 finished I felt bereft, I was so anxious to find out what was happening with the housemates - especially Paul & Helen, I ploughed through all the papers, I joined various forums (before helping Mark start this one). I cared. This year, I have been vaguely amused and have quite liked a few of the housemates but I know in a few weeks time I will definintey not be pining or feeling desperate to find out information about them.
Maybe that's more healthy - I don't know - but it does show that this series hasn't had the same characters to 'hold you' like last years did.
I wish all the housemates well, and there are some that I would quite like to see on TV again in the future, but I know I'll be moving on far quicker than I did with BB2.

All the time, BusyBee.
The majority of us on this board are HUGE fans of BB2 and we all helped each other when it finished last year as so many of us were in mourning.
You have a lot of posts to catch up on and I recommend ROB's little world which has some wonderful stories about Helen and Paul.
