That first picture is very misleadiing, I doubt very much it was a close as it looked, she's definitely not smoking in his face as you can see where the smoke's path is undeterred by any objects.

Depth of field is important here and it's obvious it was shot at an angle to remove most of the depth so that it looks like she is smoking right up close when she's not.

The thing is though she's a lot farther away then the picture looks and since they're in a park which is a big wide open space it's not as bad as say if she was smoking in his face in a small room.

Again it's all camera trickery and unflattering angles, She was far enough considering the area as the smoke would diffuse outside and not hang like it would in an inside enviroment. It's still not the brightest idea admittedly but it's a huge overreaction given the obvious angle and problems with the photo and when you consider the location.
