Not only is Pete the most ugliest thing to walk God's beautiful green Earth, but he's shown he's just as repulsive inside. He doesn;t care for anyone's feeling and he makes me sick. I wanted to chuck ma TV out the window lol.
Oh and did you notice Barrymore didn't back up Pete about the aledged "Sympathy crying" cos he cries everytime a camera's watching him. Oh yea lol did you notice he did it in nominations because he knew 100% for sure that nominations would be in the highlight show...

I disagree. For a guy that looks so weird,I think he is very well grounded He tells it has it is,answers questions without fuss (rula asking him about his plastic surgery would have wound up a lot of people, but he just answered quite cooly)and has a wicked sense of humour.
In terms of entertainment value verses likability he is about my fave jus now.

This is true.I don't want to see Jodie leave this week by eviction or by walking.
When she walked into the house I was pleased because i had formed an opnion of her that was she was a lot brighter(academically she is) and more multi layered than a lot of people gave her credit for.
This was really only based on hol reps,in which she was mostly discplined, and a couple of radio interviews with James Whale.
I feel tho, that the curse of BB has brought out the very worst, tabloid type, side of her and am dissapointed that she has really played up to exactly what the press would expect of her.
In the highlites argument showed at the end of BB tonight I felt that Barrymore was making the argument 100 times worse by butting in and that if he had left her and pete to talk we might have got somewhere.

Pete takes his own issues out on others, similar to Jodie, but whereas Jodie is a scared little girl, Pete is older and more calculating.
The way he keeps going on about Jodie being calculating, is more to do with him knowing he is the calculating one

I agree. Pete was prepared to have a heart-to-heart with Jodie, but Michael contsantly chipping in antagonizing and belittling her like he did forced her to walk away.

Pete is a very intelligent man, despite his arrogance and awful looks. He deserves another chance, he's only sticking up for himself and I'm with him all the way. Everything he does is just so funny as well, people shouldn't take it so seriously, it's just a gameshow.

The things that annoys me most...
Pete - "Jodie is calculating" - he's been seeing himself in that mirror he looks in all day
Michael is obviously hurt by something Jodie has said. His defence mechanism is to attack back.
Michael and Pete going on about the position she was sitting and the way she was facing......cameras are everywhere.

why would they go on about the way jodie was sitting?? ( I missed tonight's ep)

They said it was because she was aware of the cameras.
They just did it so they could use it as an arguement

Pathetic innit lol but I still do like Pete and Barrymore even though I do dislike their attitudes lately. Everyone has their moments like that.
InTheHood, what do you think of the series so far?

For sure, Jodie has her moments, I just think Pete and Michael are a bit more intelligent, and because of that, are able to use things against her more, and it was 2 v 1.
Well, the series is okay. I like Traci and Jodie (I can't get into their fan clubs/appreciation societies, despite posting millions of times asking, I think my posts must only be viewable by some, either that or they don't want me in them :joker: )
I think they are nice girls under everything. Chantelle seems nice, in an innocent way, the others.....don't really care about to be honest, although Dennis and Pete are my least faves.
You particuarly like/dislike anyone?

i don't particularly like Traci. She couldn't hurt a flee but she just really irritates me a little bit. I accidentally called her "trackie bottom" today and I felt a bit foolish lol  ... HATE Dennis, he's a cheeky bugger... and I haven't seen much of the rest, think George is quite amusing though!
keep trying lol you MIGHT get into the apprecation society one day :P

Dennis only has one thing about him........apparently, and he's broken that twice. He'll never be a real man again :joker:

No, they said it because it was blatantly obvious that she was trying to milk sympathy from the audience, and had deliberately positioned herself so that the camera was focusing directly on her.

So you think Pete isn't acting up to the cameras?
I've seen Pete look at the cameras ALOT, possibly more than anyone else.
He's in the house, because he wants people to feel sorry for his horrific face.

They all are - that's the whole point of the show.
And your point is? The fact is that when someone is genuinely upset, they wouldn't even be aware of the cameras at all. Jodie, however, positioned herself so that the cameras were directly on her. It was fake and calculated, and she was found out.
He's in the house because he's getting paid £150,000, just like the rest of the hm's. And to support his chosen charity, sell his back catalogue, and promote future releases and performances. They're all in there for self-promotion of one sort or another.

So when Pete is looking into the camera?? I guess he's just being Pete to you.
I think if a camera was in front of me, i'd be aware of it, and you and your idols are just making too much of it.
They aren't all getting paid the same? I very much doubt he's in for charity, maybe the 'bring back hunting' campaign.
Of course they are all in for self promotion. Jodie so she's not so hated, Pete to get money for his surgery, Michael because he's bankrupt and needs public sympathy, George for politcal reasons etc.

I think Pete is great, he talks alot of the truth and people dont like that. He is one of the smartest men on the show and is great to watch. Ok he doesnt have the perfect face but who cares? He doesn't he is happy with himself and that is all that matters. If you look at him you will think he is odd but if you listen to him and his comments on life, people, media etc he is a very smart guy and I hope he does great when the shows over.
I think Pete is great he says what he thinks and he is great entertainment

Exactly! Everyone is saying how great Pete is for saying what he thinks then Jodie does and it's a crime! I do really like Pete like. When Jodie said she didn't approove of his fur coat him and George both had a go at Jodie then when Jodie would speak her mind, she would then get Pete and Barrymore on her back! Either way, she can't win with them and she will always be in the wrong with them. There all ganging up and bullying her and it's just not fair on her!

I disagree over the whole fur coat and Galloway getting involved thing. As far as I recall, Jodie had said that killing all animals is murder. It's always dangerous making such a generalised and sweeping statement about any issue cos nothing is ever that black or white. George made the point that certain cultures need to kill animals to survive, giving the example of the eskimo people IIRC. Jodie counters with some rubbish about how they don't have shops or something and so they're primitive. Now, such a statement is begging for trouble, especially with an experienced public speaker like Galloway in the house.
What disappointed me the most about Jodie in this little exchange (and I started watching CBB with an open mind about her) was how inarticulate she was about a subject she supposedly feels strongly about. She goes on about how she supports animal rights and PETA (sp) and all, and yet when a discussion arises about it she comes out with generalised and sweeping statements and then goes on to back that up by criticisng a whole culture cos they don't have shops and stuff. It's fine to say that killing all animals is murder but you need to be able to back it up when someone challenges your stance, especially someone like Galloway. She couldn't back it up and instead resorted to insults and then turning on the tears for a bit of sympathy. Pathetic :bored:

And I just realised that this was a thread about Pete and I've turned it into another jodie-bashing thread! Sorry guys
About Pete, I think he's been good entertainment so far and not repulsive at all. But then I try to judge people by what they say and do and not by how they appear so the fact the he may not be the prettiest thing to look at doesn't really bother me that much.
