Worst series since BB4?

It really is awful, isn't it? I'm so, so disappointed :( This is literally the first time I've thought about stopping watching SINCE BB4. I just want the last 2 weeks to hurry now.

No.
I did have to stop watching when that puerile shabby/kevin crap was ruining the season,
but,
other than that it has been very good. great cast, some classic moments, some great tasks.

There has been some problems. Obviously the Shabby mistake hurt the house and in a sense 'stole' 2 or 3 weeks worth of progress,
and,
just when the housemates did start to 'gel' and become a family - new HMs showed up. Not too bad but then this week they did it again. The 'family' feeling we were just getting used to is returned to 'Hotel' feeling.

But there is a lot of good.
It is not yet a BB9 (near perfection) but its not BB4 and definitely no BB10 (a joke season).

I have BB11 right up there as one of the best.

I wasn't BB10's biggest fan either, but it was much better than BB11, especially the first few weeks.

I'm loving this BB, great yet real characters, Great tasks. It's not been as twisty as usual but then in the last few series of BB most twists have flopped anyway.

A great series, It's really got me liking BB again after that godawful series last year.

Like I said before the series started "NO AVERAGE PEOPLE!" because this is the result you will get!

BB3, BB5, BB6, BB7, BB9 - Series known for having "freaks", but definitely the most entertaining series which gained the higher ratings.
BB1, BB4, BB8, BB10, BB11 - Series with "average normal people", but the boring series that have lost viewers.

Big Brother is like a real life soap opera, if you don't cast interesting characters you won't get interesting storylines!

Uh no. You make an epic fail expecting everyone to believe this is one of the worst series.
You would have done better to argue against it as being 'worse than BB8' or just mediocre.
At least that could be believable. Instead you just made this massive overshot that comes off as lame trolling.

Even this last post of yours comes off as lame trolling when you could quite easily scan through BB forums and see that, overall, generally speaking, most BB fans are fairly happy or satisfied with this season.
You can disagree with that rating,
but,
don't pretend like you are 'shocked' or 'amazed' and act like you just heard this for the first time.

At this moment (season still has time to decline or improve) but right about now I have it tied at around 8th place out of 11 series.
(3 other season better imo on my list).

This is not 'surprising' and plenty on this forum and others have BB11 in their top lists or even somewhere in the middle.

Right. Even if I look at my least favourite season - BB10 and I do call it a failure but then I have to select out greatness (Sree, Bea) and realize that was still better than most anything else I would be watching in the time slot and genre.

Generally speaking, BB11 has been getting decent reviews and most people I know are mostly happy with the season. Not calling it 'the greatest season' but ranking it as a fave.

BB8 seemed to become over-rated and then that perpetuates its own reputation in the same way BB4 became perpetuated as the 'bad example' to where I think its universally under-rated.
And I'm not saying 4 was amazing only that it doesn't seem to me so extraordinarily bad compared to (for example) BB2, BB3.

Anyways, one thing about BB11 I appreciate is that they seem to have tried to find a cast that is partly a 'pre BB5 feel' where the idea was more of bringing together the nice people.
Some of us actually liked that older concept and at least seems BB11 has the nicer classic feel.
I don't necessarily want to miss the stir-monsters or outrageous types either but I am glad its not just Jerry BB10 Springer with 'even more outrageous types!!!".
I like the mix and feel in BB11.

BB9 is the only series I NEVER WATCHED. I hated everyone on launch night and switched off all the series.

Great observation and yes I think you described it perfectly well on how a season gets 'memory credit' from what was before and after.
I'm a good example because I did like BB8 (seems more than most) but BB9 was so good it left BB8 'average' in my mind,
yet,
It may be why BB10 stands out as the worst in my mind AND that may be why BB11 feels so much better.

Of course you can add to all this the idea of increasing desensitization and where there are just so many 'new ideas' that can ever be conceived.

One thing I want to do (maybe in a few years from now) is take a lazy rainy Sunday and maybe go through the various seasons and in no particular order.
I think most of us will see them differently in terms of what seasons may have been better than we though and what were over-rated.

btw.. I still think of BB1 as the greatest season yet I also feel I need to keep that in its own special category. The novelty and all the 'firsts' were something no other series could have.

the general feeling looking at everything, its seems to be like this:

In fairness to BB11.. ..we are still in the middle of it.
Some of my fave seasons had slower starts or lulls or did not necessarily win me over until it all came together in the end.

Just wait until you we get a few love-to-hate evictions and the HMs and the pressure on remaining HMs (and winnings becoming real possibilities to the remaining ones) and yes.. BB11 can definitely heat up yet!
