Its an inherent trait in a our culture that 'boys will be boys'

ever heard that?

Bad boys arent seen as such and no matter how vile or nasty they are they will always be excused because 'deep down theyre really just a nice bloke who has feelings and is just being honest about them'

Older women want to mother him and make excuses for him

Younger women either fancy him or think hes awesome for being negative and shaking things up

Gay men just fancy him (apart from me hes hideous)

Straight men thinks hes funny (then again straight men laugh at anything) and think hed be a laugh to hang out with

Hes the perfect example of how our culture still idolises males and vilifies females with similar traits!

Wow, what an abhorrent post made up of unfounded and downright laughable stereotypes.

Rex was my favourite housemate in BB9. But I accept that he was a nasty person.

I think Makosi was one of the greatest housemates of all time, but I know that she was a gameplaying, attention-seeking bitch.

Get it?

That's true. Notice it's not 'men will be men'. As 'man' isn't a word you'd use to describe John James et al.

Also, all the 'girls' on here that swear they like John James because of his personality when they won't admit they just want to ******* him. LOL.

I for one do not want to mother him. If my son behaved like that he would get the sharp end of my tongue. And my son is waaaay better looking than him:joker:

*********g brilliant post, it is indeed one rule for one and one rule for another depending on what sex you are. I think women need to understand that double standards are menat to work in your favour, not against, ecause they're the ones who let men off the hook time and time again.

I think the phrase "boys will be boys" in another way of saying "oh well, he can do whatever he wants because he's male" because that's exactly what people say when a man does/says something that would be seen as unfair/selfish or in some way, unacceptable if a woman did/said the same thing.

Um no. The guy has no wit and is one of the most boring personalities to ever grace the show. Why would we laugh at anything anyway?
