Oh here we go, don't start all that nonsense, Steve wasn't forced into the Army like the troops who served in the Great War and World War II, he did it out of his own choice, we as a Nation shouldn't have to feel privileged for them doing something they either wanted to do out of choice or had to do because they where high school drop outs

Steve is a very poor housemate and I've no doubt his disabilities have stopped many people putting him up already, he does very little in the house and he does come across as a very seedy character

For the record he was invading a land that the British Government had no right being in in the first place!

I dont think they have at all.

First off hes only ever been put up for nomination this week, so BB couldnt have 'helped' him out, and second it looked like a double JJ win to me in that task! I wasnt expecting Corin to be such a good catcher.

I have no time for Steve, he is a dull housemate, but he got blown up protecting 'BRITISH' citizens. Believe me, Northen Ireland was a war zone.

Much as I would like Ireland to be united, it is not. The majority of those in the North Class themselves as British therefore it is a British problem.

There is an uneasy peace at the moment and only careful politics can protect it. There is no easy solution. I try hard to see it from both sides, and I am the first to say that there were murdering Bastards on both sides as well.

Steve was injured doing a job he loved, that much cannot be taken from him.

I have to say I agree with this. Steve does nothing at all. He just sits on the sofa all day. He adds nothing to the house at all. And as much as I detest saying it, he IS hiding behind his disability because he thinks he can win the show because of it.
Thats why he felt down the other day and said he wanted to go home, because Joel (hopeful housemate) told the group he would nominate Steve because he thinks he's untouchable.

If Steve was an entertaining housemate it would make all the difference.
For the last 2-3 months the only interesting thing about Steve is his story of how he got blown up.
Steve needs to leave and be with his family. Not sitting on a sofa all day wondering what he's going to spend his 100 thousand pounds on.

They were welcomed on both sides as a protecting force as without them it would still be a continuous battle of strength.

I think you will find that the media went round her controls by blacking out or overdubbing the banned Sinn Fein members like Adams.

Consequently both sides were able to go on TV.

King William of Orange and all that.

And yes you're right. Northern Ireland is a part of Britain long before any of the troubles that came about.

As someone pointed out..NI is a part of the UK not Britain.
Its full title is The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.
Bit pedantic..but correct.

The Irish Troubles do go back to the early 1600s, but the current situation is only just over a 100years old with the formation(badly) of Northern Ireland in the 1920s.

If by "destroying me" you mean you're going to say stuff like "ooooo get her! someones got sand in their vagina!" then you're clearly attempting to punch well above your weight.

This is a Big Brother forum. It's not somewhere to voice your political beliefs, although I suspect what you know about politics and The Troubles would probably fit on the head of a pin. I find you offensive and way off topic, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

My 'ignore' list is extensive but there's plenty of for one more tedious ranter.

Hey St G.

It's such a shame... this is a good forum with some very switched-on, witty, funny people even though I don't always agree with everyone. But sometimes people drag it down into the dirt. I guess some people are happy in the knowledge that ignorance is bliss. I'm getting to the point where I'll only see the people that make me laugh or make me think and everyone else will be on ignore.
