anyone else finding this guy cringeworthy - on l/f John James and JJ trying to explain to Josie that he has this crush on her and Andrew hates it when shes with John James who quite graciously said that if Andrew is talking to Josie he will walk away because he knows Andrew would feel uncomfortable.
Lets not forget that Andrew knew when he went in that Josie and John James were extremely close - he knows exactly what he is doing, and I hope it back fires on him. (please dont just put up fake romance and I hate John James etc etc on this thread you have started enough of them already)

I am also finding Andrew a little cringeworthy and, at times, uncomfortable to watch. However I really do believe that Josie has been leading him on a bit. She told him how attractive he was, even saying that if she wasn't with John James she would go out with him (Andrew). Now Josie might have been joking (as she does seem to treat Andrew a bit like the village idiot - someone to take pity on) but Andrew has never been paid such lovely compliments by a woman before, so naturally it is going to go to his head. But he is overstepping the mark a bit and Josie needs to explain to him that they can be nothing more than friends, just like John James tried to explain the very same thing to Josie, On the other hand it might be nice to get her get a taste of her own medicine. She has been (still does) following John James around now Andrew is following her around.

Let's not forget that Andrew is a very impressionable young man when it concerns women -seeing as it's quite obvious he doesn't seem to have any experience with the fairer sex - and Josie had no problem stringing him along and playing hard to get while JJ was close to Caoimhe. He's just a naive young lad who's developed a crush on a girl who gave him some attention, that's all. You're being very harsh on him here.

Josie was wrong for leading him on and giving him all these false compliments and acting like she's interested.

Josie is a ***** teaser - unfortunately for her it works on Andrew but not on the sexless JJ1.

Quite right. Whatever Andrews faults (and there are a few) Josie used him once she thought John James seemed to be taking an interest in Caoimhe, yet they (JJ & C) were only friends. Josie is well out of order for giving Andrew the wrong impression - a bit like what Norin did to Siavash (and Marcus) last year. I have gone off her completely.

Andrew lacks confidence, that is all! He likes Josie because he thinks she was being nice to him, when really she was just using him! He is way too good for that slapper!

Of course he's way too good for her, and I can't believe that people are having a pop at him for having feelings, feelings that Josie used for her own gain.

Andrew would prefer to shove his skin pencil in a USB port

Andrew is one housemate I have totally gone off, his constant ramblings about Josie knowing that she is with John James is vile. I really don't like someone chasing another person when this person is linked with another, it's just not the done thing.

I also don't buy this he's shy nonsense anymore, he's the biggest flirt in there.

He is cringeworthy but I give him a pass because he has obviously spent mass time and life on maths.
Like so many geeks he has next to nothing in social skills and then gets tossed right into the grand arena of them all - BB House.
The geek is basically in a massive learn-on-the-fly shock immersion mission and its probably the best thing that can ever happen,
and,
add to that he has kind of gone mad, over-board, way too enthusiastic wanting to just blast away and come out of his shell with years of pent up repression,
but,
yeah, wow, its definitely awkward, often cringeworthy.

I just imagine how I'd be thrown into University math classes and just told to let it all out and give it everything I had.
It might actually be good for me and ultimately surprise myself getting the odd thing right,
but,
wow... to do that I'd be making a room full of Andrews 'cringe' each turn at the board lol

I'm glad he is there though. Great choice in casting and it has really paid off for BB now.

Josie has paid Andrew compliments, she thinks she is being kind to him and sparing his feelings - boosting his ego a bit.

With anybody else that would be all it was, but he has zero experience with women and is reading far too much into it.

The stuff when he was drunk was cringey, but he was just a young naive lad who'd had a sniff of the barmaid's apron, not the end of the world.

He is generally quite disrespectful, to know that John and Josie have a "relationship" -whether people think it's real or not and yet to blatantly keep making suggestive remarks and even grabbing at Josie is pretty poor.

I worried right from the start when he did the thing of going up to John and telling him to "Back the **** off Josie".

He took that a bit too seriously.

I think Mario has tried to get him to see the reality hasn't he?

He needs to listen.

I went off Andrew when he had that conversation with Keeva about how he liked dividing......her legs. Absolutely gross. Hope the boy goes on Friday as he is now getting too confident and cocky after the housemates have built him up to be something he is not.

I am amazed that someone who is supposed to be clever could be so naive as to think Josie could be interested. His idea also that he can just walk in and steal someone's bird is a shocking flaw in his character. His behaviour has been contemptible on occasions.

I bet the bleach vs JJs hat incident was no accident!
