Another chance to see the opening episode of the brand new series of Shipwrecked, the UK's original desert island show. A new group of young castaways are marooned in the Aitutaki Atoll in the South Pacific, but this time the drama is doubled as there are now two islands and two tribes of castaways - the Tigers and the Sharks - competing against each other for a big cash prize.

In today's second episode, the new arrival, Leeds fashion graduate Alara Gee, settles into her new life with the Tiger tribe. Bisexual Geordie barman Chris Baddoo takes her under his wing but not all the tribe are quite so happy to have her there. And the second Shipwrecked new arrival gets marooned: Manchester lad Kevin Bratherton, a 23-year-old barman, part-time model and self-confessed ladies man.

AND!Jeffs sister has now become the newcomer! How will she react to the sharks? Wil she 'pull them up' about the whole Jeff situation? Can't wait till Sunday!

Jeffs sister(forget her name) picked the Sharks .. making the sharks actually in the lead .. 10 - 9!! Yay Sharks to win!

James (the gay one) picked the sharks last week but regreted his choice and met with Katie and said he will deffo go back to the Tigers on Sundays beach party .. but he then channged his mnid again and at the beach party all the tigers fonud out about it .. and the fight started. Kevin could well take on crawford:thumbs:

If I was a castaway I'd join Shark Island.

The Tigers have too many self-centred, overbearing, testosterone-fuelled drama queens for my liking. As Gareth rightly said they've formed their group, now any new arrivals are treated more as numbers to get the win. They let their guard slip after winning the race to the pontoon and leaving the new arrival Annie stranded on the boat while they stuffed their greedy faces with chocolates. No surprise she chose the Sharks at the end! And the reaction to Gareth changing islands said it all. Look at how some of them stamped their feet in outrage just because he wanted to put himself up for nomination.

The Sharks are more fun and tolerant and not easily riled up. They know its a game and treat it as such. Kevin is a top man. Niff is cool. John is down to earth. Laura is the Mother Hen. They're all fun, happy people :cat:

I agree with Andy, in that I'd chose sharks if I went to the Island at this point in the show. However if I was an original castaway, I think I would have preferred to be on the Tigers at the start, purely because more people my own age and because they were active early on in building a shelter etc, whereas the Sharks took their time.

The Sharks have definitly grown on me, and it'll be interesting to see how they cope without Kevin.

I felt a tad upset for John making the decision to move. He gave a good speech. Very dignified and not over the top. I can understand why some of the girls got upset.

It was a very unfair punishment designed to weaken the Sharks as it was obvious Kevin was going to put himself up for nomination anyway. It was the Tigers who started it all by kidnapping Anna in the first place (amusing though it was) and they got off lightly.

Nice to see Kev back though, and good to see that annoying rapper moving to the Tigers.

James George can act a twat sometimes but he's a character and wound up the Tigers a treat with his awful attempt at playing a mole, so he's alright in my books. There's not one shark I dislike.

I think for 2007 there shud be sum canged tho.
Mybe a Much bigger prize fund. I mean they are on the islands for over 17 Weeks - Much longer than BB and they only get 70K! Also - I think it shud remain exclusively to T4 but mybe be repeated on C4 - It might get a bigger audience. I didnt think It was was very well advertised. In fact i dont recall seeing any advertisments for it - I only noticed it in the TV Guide and thaught it looked good.

wacthed parts of this and always wanted the sharks to win. The tigers only had one nice character and that was Crawford take away his leader skills and the tigers would have sunk. Alara was one of the worst people on Tiger island and she was just awful.
