Do you like Davina?

Im just wondering who likes Davina because ive been reading posts from BB6 and its been said that people think shes losing her touch. In other forums such as the X Factor i always see people critizing Kate Thorton .. so whats your thoughts on Davina? I love her i think shes great:hello:

I like Davina, but as an interviewer she's below average. She either can't or refuses to control a hostile crowd whose booing she likes to call pantomime, when it clearly isn't. She was very poor with Jason and her worst oment was picking on Makosi giving her personal thoughts on her behaviour instead of being impartial.

I'd happily replace her with either Kate Thorton, Russell Brand or my personal choise Tess Daly.

As i said i love her but shes the only presenter i know who always says 'ERMMMM' after everything she says its like she forgots what shes about to say .. i mean it would be ok if she done it now and then but she does it all the time. If you didn't notice, look out for it next time

I think Davina is alright. She can have her good and bad days.

She needs to interact a bit more with the crowd other something. She seems a bit detached from it.

I like Davina - she is part and parcel of BB for me. She doesnt always get it right or should I say do it the way we would like her to? still I think she does a grand job :xyxwave:

I agree. I think the show as presented by Davina is starting to look very tired, as I said on another thread. Russell Brand is a great presenter; I think he would be much better at doing the show than Davina. She's lost her touch.

Davina is BB. It's easy to pick faults in one particular aspect, but it's the sum of all parts that makes her the ideal choice. Nobody's perfect by any means, but I've still not seen any criticism of her either here or elsewhere that's been even remotely justified. Mostly, people blame Davina because their favourites get a bad time from the audience, or their interviews aren't flattering. But people seem to refuse to accept that her interviews are scripted, and that her job is principally a presenter, not an interviewer. If it doesn't meet with your approval, your issue is with the production team, not Davina. It would be no different in that aspect regardless of who took on the role.

As for Russell Brand, he's intelligent, witty and knows how to work an audience. But he's also incredibly easily influenced, and allows himself to be side-tracked far too often. He'd be a poor choice for this role, but that's academic anyway as it's never going to happen. And Kate Thornton is quite probably the most inept presenter currently working in British television.

She's a tv presenter on an incredibly popular show, and therefore people are going to have opinions about her, which they are entitled to do. As I've said before, her style of presenting is looking tired now IMO.

Davina is nice and is quite funny at times ppl always seem to make out that shes a racist or bully but she is just doing her job which is trying to get tho the bottom of what happened if it wasnt for her asking them stuff when they get out we wud know absolutely **** all

What's not to like? I think she's the perfect presenter for BB, unlike Kate Thornton, who truly is awful.

Personally I like a presenter who puts it on the line and gives their opinion rather than distancing themselves. Big Brother is not "The News". I make my own mind up anyway regardless of the presenters opinion, and I like to see a brave and bold presenter that's not a robot. I like Davina very much and the show wouldnt be the same without her.
