Yes buts its not down to Channel 4.

Most supposed live shows are in fact transmited after a delay where editors can check the content for offensive or libelous content. The industry watchdog OfTel recommended 15 minutes as a norm, and 30 seconds in the case of live phone in shows.

This came about after lots of complaints about TV and Radio presenters swearing as well as blurting out offensive jokes/comments etc.(Edith Bowman and Chris Moyles are two names that top the list believe it or not)

The same 15 minute guideline is adopted by most radio stations as well, so when Moylesy says its 7.30 get up he actually said that 15 minutes before.

Ofcom also adopted the same sort of timings on TV programs aired on line.

I'm sorry but radio stations are live, well there certainly isn't a delay of 15mins. Maybe 30 seconds or so, but not 15..

I've been thinking for almost since the start of the series that the "live" eviction isn't. The initial live show could be but that is why the phone lines are closed right at the end of it. Surely if it was live they would want to give as many people as poss to vote, they want the money from the phone calls. If I remember correctly on a newspaper website it almost gives a minute by minute account of what happened. Now I think about it could have also possibly been on a highlights show - the timings didn't match. The evictee nearly always goes after 10.30, these particular timings must have been up to quarter an hour before that.

On top of that surely they would want to give Davina a slightly larger break before she has to present BBBM for an hour!

I have always wondered if the eviction and interview actually take place during the show that follows the HL show (up til tonight, "The IT Crowd") - it would also account for why the 30 min programme actually lasts 35 mins.

I have tried to compare it by seeing when it gets dark, but living in SW Scotland, we get dark much later than the SE of England!

But we do know that the "live" show that goes out every day is always around 15-20 mins behind the actual House time, and has been (I believe) since the very beginning, so they can bleep out unsavoury language etc
