Yeah I am wondering about this too, they might just be using him as a vehicle to try and drive some action out of the originals and not actually show much of his antics and instead focus on peoples bitching.

I get the feeling the newbies are dispensable, they tried putting them in to try and wake up the originals or coax some fun/stimulation into the group.

Sam is trying to enter the Fun-Zone, but with this lot I'm sure he will just get "Access Denied"
