They said they would give £30,000 to steve for a new leg, i guess the rest would either be giving to charity or to fund church events.

And where is the bible does it say that Jesus would give away his money?

flamingGalah!

Hmmm, I wonder... One would hope he would donate the lot to a cancer charity, that way he really would be able to help them to find a cure, seeing as he lied about being able to cure it...

Despite my mistrust of Dave and his pseudo-religion i don't think he is anymore obliged than anyone else to give the money away.

He is just as entitled to keep some/all of the money for himself irt would hardly make him rich. You have a vendetta against dave so you will always twist things against him, there is nobody that could ever fake being a Christian for 20 years, it can't be done, he would have been found out is he was fake as you say, and a fake would certainly not go onto the most exposed TV show ever created. He has passed the tests tried to keep the peace in the house, proclaimed the name of Jesus and shown real love to everyone in there. What are his fake motives?

"The essence of John Crowder’s (and Daves) ‘ministry’ appears to be this: experience over doctrine. Like those who promoted the controversial revival movements that peaked a few years ago, Crowder tortures the Scriptures in order to find an excuse for outrageous behaviour — which he then attributes to God’s Holy Spirit."

The whole point of a Bible that cannot be altered and doctrine agreed by a Church like Anglican, Protestant and Catholic churches is to guard against people like Dave pretending to be religious

I dont doubt the fact that he will use the money to spread the word and (What he believes to be) glory. I dont think anyone realises, but while you all think what he says is bull****, i think he actually believes it. He probabily actually believes he can cure cancer, and maybe he can, god makes the impossible possible, but weather god is with him is another story.

He's either a smart conman, which if he is, i say fairplay, if people are so insecure and need answers so bad they're believe anything, then why not exploit that, they need to smarten up. Or a heavily religious man like he says, i think its the wrong way to go about it, but who am i to judge? No one knows the correct way to praise god as no living man has met him. I honestly think Dave actually believes what he says, and believes what he does is right.

What do you mean "god makes the impossible possible"?

The correct way to praise god is firmly written down in the Bible. The reason it is written down to stop false prophets like Dave talking bollocks.

Well if you believe god to be the an powerfull being, then with him with you, you can do anything.

And that depends on your stance on the bible, god didnt write the bible.

God did "write" the bible if you are a Christian

LOL surely as a Christian (You are a Christian right?) you believe that with god in your life you can do anything, and that god makes anything possible? The bible gives many examples of this, Jusus walking on water being one of them, and Moses parting the Red Sea being another.

And god didnt write the bible it was writen by many people, he may have given them the word, but he did not write it.

John Crowder isn't in the house, Dave is. Crowder's over soon, perhaps you should come along and question him?

Doctrine without experience is just words on a page.

Dave talking bollocks.

Ephesians 4:29

29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Colossians 3:8
8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

No, actually Jesus, the person did really exist (seriously, even Dawkins says it). He was one of the greatest conmen in history.
2000 years on and people are still falling for the scam.

When Dave went in I heard him mention something about an orphanage in India? Not sure if it's where he'd want the money to go though..

As for the rest, Bible schmible.

Just one point being missed in this thread; if Dave does win the money he is entitled to do what he likes with it! Why aren't you discussing what Bill Gates does with his money? Or your friends?

That really isn't your place to say! Judging by the comments you have made about people being fat, ugly etc - you don't strike me as genuinely religious!

Horses for courses - noone has the right to say what is the right way to worship God - hence why we have so many different religions!

It is a complete misunderstanding of Biblical meaning that allows people like Dave to flourish

if you believe you have god in your life you can do exactly the same as anyone else - you are governed by the laws of physics. The examples that you give are supernatural claims made in the Bible only but i doubt that you would find anyone with an education that really belives that.

Christians believe that the Bible was inspired by god, they dont think he actually wrote it as that would be beyond silly. The Bible was written by forty different writers over a period of fifteen hundred years. From cover to cover, these writers claimed that God gave them every word.

Wombat I dont think you get religion at all.

There are rules for every organised religion. To be a minister you have to pass exams and do years of study. You dont just hire a monks outfit and laugh a lot.

simply because of the Jesus stance on money. Dave follows Jesus.

And organised religion on the whole is a scam, Dave is just more obvious.
