View Full Version : The Daily Star today
Anyone see it? I was walking past the newsagents and the headline was 'Preston, a secret drug addict'. Now I never buy the Star, and I don't believe hardly anything that's written in it either. But I was wondering if anybody had seen this article and knew what it was all about?

yeah its just about his sleeping pills
Thanks BigSister. Might have known the Star would try and make out like he is hooked on heroin or something:rolleyes:
I hadn't seen any signs of him going cold turkey, so I did wonder!

ill find the article
But it's not quite cocaine or heroin...
It has been reported today that Ordinary Boys frontman and Celebrity Big Brother star Preston is a drug addict.
Not quite tapping in to the rock n’ roll stereotype, it’s not coke or heroin that he’s hooked on - instead it’s sleeping pills.
Keen Big Brother viewers will already know that Preston sneaks off to the diary room every night for a cheeky pill to help send him off.
But the purveyor of truth that is the Daily Star claims that Preston’s tablet-taking is a much worse problem and he’s addicted to them.
It backs up its claims by quoting an interview with Preston last year where he admitted to taking Valium to help him relax while on tour.

 I probably take the same sleeping pills as Preston. Have for years. They are usually very low dosages and just help you become sleepy at night. Especially useful if you are sleeping in a room with lots of noisy people. You don't feel groggy nexy day and most importantly you have a good nights sleep. Come on some people take a lot worse. Leave him alone.
Oh really! Firstly, the Daily Star - Please!
Secondly, do you think BB would allow him to take in the proportions of drugs needed to allow a drug Addict to survive for that length of time in the house; I don't think so.
Thirdly, He is, as far as I know at this time, the favourite to win and there probably trying to sell Newspapers; who better to make up a story about.

I doubt BB would be feeding a drug addiction!! And I doubt that he would have been able to go in the house, with all the personality tests etc that they do before selection.
Pathetic!

He's probably not even addicted to sleeping pills, but thats ok to use as its unlikely Preston would sue over it.
Ruth, take my advice and do what I do and don't even waste your time reading the front page. It's a comic.
You're right Andy. I only spotted the headline as I was walking past!
He doesn'r really fit the bill of a rock star does he? Valium the drug of choice of millions of housewives the world over....I wouldn't be suprised if his band was fabricated a la The Monkeys or Girls Aloud seeing as he was some sort of child actor originally...
