Yes, his comments to Josie where dubious at best! ...i'd say he chose Dave because he thought it would cause the least amount of - friction - but also, he may have seen him as a possible contenders to win. He knows Jo, JJ & Andrew would be nearly no chance to win, being "newer". Also the HMs have heard "get Steve out" comments over the fence, so he probably figures he's no to win chance, either. Corin bangs on about loving the experience and wanting to be there all the time - so, that may have caused backlash, and of course he would of felt the full wrath of John, if he picked Josie!!!

Because he desperately wants to win so he's taking out those he sees as the greatest threat to him doing that. He picked Dave in the S&R because he saw Dave as a lesser threat but a softer option. If he had picked Josie he'd have had too much fall out from it.

They all talk of friendship and put one another up. Dave Josie and JJ all nommed Mario . When Sam came in he told them in his opinion (who had been watching everything) Josie John James and Steve would be in the final,so if Mario wanted to put a strong contender up it would have been Steve or Josie.I think like most hms hes afraid of confrontation with JJ so darent put Josie up and if what Sam said about Steve was true his fans would save him anyway.

100% agree with you. I am (was) amazed that neither Steve nor Mario replaced themselves with the person they nominated in the DR. Is it because they expected a backlash from John James? The gutless pair.
