I think he is ashamed of her. I think he like's her but he's worried about what people may think/say because she's not the normal 'pretty girl' that people think he should be with. I wish he'd just answer her and tell her on camera how he feels. If you can tell her stuff under the cover's he should be man enough to tell her on camera.
