I reckon he is unhinged, and his treatment of Jodie has put me right off him. When he first went in, I didn't really care one way or the other about him, but now he has shown an arrogance that's just plain awful.
I really have warmed to Michael, last night he did a brilliant job in trying to keep the peace, for the past week now though hes been really good to watch, won't be a suprise to me if he reaches for the final.
I have warmed to Barrymore, he can be a bit bitchy, but he is entertaining and I really think his heart is in the right place. Of course, I loved him on TV in his hey day and feel sorry for him in some respect because I do see a shadow of his former self, but just maybe this will give him the confidence for a come back.
Sometimes he irritates me, with his constant crying; also his mumbling is a bit annoying, although he might not be able to help that. However, sometimes he really does talk sense!

Cant stand the man - he is putting on a show in that house all the time. He does nothing without thinking of how it will look. Sorry to me he is completely false.
All that being cool calm and collected last night - all a front - how would he have been if he had been in the nominees shoes.

I think dont be fooled by what you saw last night as if he was the one being voted off and talked about last night he would have been in a right sulk! He was only giving out his counciling to everyone because it wasn't him that was talked about.Rula was right in what she said about George and michael being at the top all the time i know Rula isn't perfect herself.
I mean look at when michael found out he wasn't the only one getting the cigars from george he went off on one so my opinion has not changed just because he was acting all nice to ppl last night.

Totally agree with what you are saying there BusyBee - I also disliked that he used it as an opportunity to talk about himself instead of what had happened to everyone else!

I also agree with you both didn't michael criticise jodie for talking about herself and he did the same to be honest it is boring the pants off me michael keeps bringing it up all the time.

Michael's a great guy, a good loyal friend to anybody who treats him nice.
PLEASE REMEMBER that we do not hear EVERYTHING in the house, that has been said to Michael or anybody else for that matter. Some very HURTFUL SLANDEROUS comments, get the birdies singing over it.
I do not think he's over reacted, as it has been cruelly and carefully edited to suggest. Theres alot of work gone in there to take out stuff that other people have said, to make Michael Barrymore look alot worse than he is.
JODIE was alot more bitchy to Michael than we the public have heard. Because the birds were played over what she said about him, some people, including Richard & Judy, think she was bullied.

I don't believe anyone would say anything slanderous has been said to michael as nobody would dare to say anything against him in the house. The only person that did say anything to michael was jodie and look what she got for her troubles!!!!!

You just contradicted yourself, ..."Someone" did. Jodie indeed did say cruel things about Michael as you pointed out. Probably other people in there did it aswell. Hard to believe? I don't think so in 2006.

I said the only person who said things about michael was jodie and she is no longer in the house so it is no longer an issue!!!

You actually said that you dont believe anyone would say anything slanderous as nobody would dare to say anything against him in the house, then immediately said that Jodie did.
As for it not mattering anymore, I hope youre right, for Barrymore's sake.

To clarify: Jodie Marsh did give slanderous hurtful comments to Michael Barrymore, while still living in the Big Brother House.

Whats with the double posting?

To be honest that statement does not make any sense, we were talking about ppl that are in the house now, jodie left some days ago so is nothing to do with the people who are supposedly saying hurtful things now. it is the people there now that would not say anything hurtful because they are barrymore supporters, yes people might have disagreements with him but they certainly dont slander him.

Are you honestly suggesting that because something was said a few days ago it no longer matters? I don't think you'd have that attitude if Jodie Marsh had said something about you in the house. Of course it matters, what was said at any point in the game can eat away at a housemate over the course of their stay.

you was saying about the public not hearing everything, thats nothing to do with michaels inability to move on after an argument and to be honest michael made her look alot worst then he did

I'm sorry Sparkle I'm not sure which arguement youre meaning. I'm just putting in my two cents about Michael Barrymore, not necessarily trying to continue the vibe/conversation on this thread previous to my post. :)

Hehe, well for me rather than say he's got an inability........I commend him and admire his ability to move on, at all, even if slow. We're lucky he's not six feet under with all the stress he's been under before coming in to the house, and during the game too, as we're seeing.

Michael is confused , mumbling , clearly still a mess. But I do like the guy , i think he sometimes confusedly uses his own therapy techniques to try and help the HM's but does not explain himself well and loses their attention.
He is lost in group situtations and is clearly better with one to ones.He is extremely funny late at night with Pete.
And yeah Jodie did cross the line with swimming pool comments and obviously it was said more than the one time we heard , this was revealed last night and rightfully the HM's agreed it was totally out of order.
