I just saw a status on the official BigBrotherLive on Twitter saying that phone lines are closed and Rachel got evicted with nearly 50% of the vote. Just went to check it again and it's gone! Weird. Thought they couldn't close the lines until after the highlights show.

I wish I'd taken a screen grab, it said that the phone lines closed at 8.39pm.

Surely encouraging people to keep voting is illegal?

I am emailing Ben Goldacre the scientist guy because he caught out Gillian McKeith on this exact thing recently. She slated him in a tweet then deleted it, but he tracked her down and could sue her for libel.

Think sensibly about this...

lets say 10,000 votes have come in overall and Racheal gets 50% of votes

that is 5000 votes for her and maybe 3000 for John and 2000 for Dave

there is no way that John or Dave could match that value in a short space of time (and Rachels value is only going to go up)

These figures are only for a example there is bound to be more votes
