As per the title.

I missed it. I heard the bit where Josie asked him who would be saved between Steve and JJ1 and he thought it would be JJ1 but then I missed the next wee bit. Surely it can't just be this?

I agree - the interpretation is that JJ1 is more popular than Steve which would be outside news to the HMs

I can also see where OP is coming from as that's just an opinion from Sam

After that, he gave the impression that the biggest votes would be if she & John James were up together. Implying they were the two favourites.

He could be winding them up, or believe what he said as he saw it the week before he went in the house.

Wow that's a pretty tenuous reason. I'd rather he was pulled up for making personal comments than this.
I don't suppose Josie will pull another infraction for asking the question in the first place.

Yes, I thought it was too, which made me question what he had said. Perhaps they are jumping in now, in case he carries on and reveals even more info like the 'All Stars' or whatever else he knows from the outside world.

Watching JJJ after that , they were giving knowing looks between each other as if to say that Sam's comments meant somthing to them - I.E. the way they might play the game from here on. You could probably say Sam's remarks take on major significance in the house - they have so little knowledge of what's going on in the outside world.

At first I was sorry that Sam said that the hard vote was between John James and Josie, but now I think he cleverly (intentionally or unintentionally) placed a wedge between them. If John James is there to win, he really needs to have a think how to win Josie whom he needs in order to win. And Josie will have to fight between fancying the guy and thinking if he's just playing her for the game. Paranoia here we go! Brilliant!

This would be the litmus test of their true intentions toward each other because if they were both up they would obviously each have to walk so the other would win. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/images/popcorn.gif
