Watched it today, brilliant film, the only reason it got bad reviews is because the film requires you to use your brain and isn't about random explosions

It looks good but its just another of those dumb video game based type movies. No emotional pull whatsoever and lots of laughable pretensions. Very forgettable.

Its stiffed at the box office in the US. Always a bad sign when critics are not allowed to see a film until days before release.

The Saturdays with weapons is a good description I heard.

Have you read any of the reviews? That's not why it got bad press at all. It got bad press for the opposite reasons altogether. Because it is just a dumb, noisy, overly stylized movie and doesn't require you to use your brain at all.

It's big but it's not clever. A bit like Inception it's a film that will convince some of it's more suggestive viewers that they are basking in the work of great, great minds and giving their brain a workout.

Watchmen was atrocious. A textbook example of how not to make a movie. It bored me to tears. Great concepts, horrible execution.

I agree. 80% of 160 critics gave it a kicking and they can't all have missed some deeper meaning!

Not that I care about critics. But punters are not flocking to see it either.

ps; I forgot he did Watchmen. Oh God that was a total bore. Not feeling good about the new Superman film now.

Maybe I was overtired but this film just didn't make sense to me or my friend and so we hated it.

As soon as I left the cinema I put my Facebook status to: I "Would very much like Zack Snyder to personally give me a refund for watching Sucker Punch. That is 2 hours of my life I am never getting back. Lobotomies, pencil moustaches, dragons, and Vanessa Hudgens are the lesser of many evils in that convoluted camel piss"

already dropped to 7 in US box office after just 2 weeks. Word of mouth obviously isnt helping it. Just $6mill in 2nd week and not even $30mill total(in US). Yep, its a flop.

It will make its money back worldwide but don't expect a sequel.

I had only just got back from a day out from watching it when I posted this, after reading reviews about it, I began to agree with their way of thinking, it basically makes you think theres more to it than there is. The action scenes were pretty much pointless since they bared no real relation to anything at all

Edit: But I don't think the film is as bad as some people are making out either
