why bother having a debate with someone who would lie and say that black is white just to win an argument?

For someone who thinks he is good at arguing, he is in fact crap at it.
His idea is to repeat the same thing in a loop until you say "OK you win". That's not a debate or argument. That's brow beating and bullying.

He would never agree to disagree - Only one way, his way.

he is like a dog with a bone when he gets started. He is not a very good person to debate or argue with because he thinks he knows it all and he is right. He won't open up to being proved wrong.

I would imagine an argument with JJ would be very tiring!

You have to have intelligence and empathy in order to argue effectively - JJ1 has neither. He does NOT know how to argue, only how to browbeat people. We saw that in action against Ben who had the good sense to realise that the guy is an immature little boy, and attempting a reasoned debate with an idiot like him is pointless.
