Apologies if this has already been posted - I had a quick look, but I wasn't on yesterday, so I might have missed a thread here or there.

Anyhow, remember back in the science task when Pete said that he couldn't wear flat shoes for the task because he always wore heels, and he would be in pain if he couldn't wear his heels? He said that he even wore them instead of slippers...but the other day he was chasing Preston around the house without any shoes on, and went for ages afterwards without wearing them. He doesn't seem to have suffered any ill effects from it.

Just an observation!

I noticed that as well and was going to post later - you beat me to it *LOL *

In fact as you say, it went on for quite a long time, funny how it suits him to believe things only when it suits him too......:conf:

yes he was also in his socks and no heels when he was chasing Preston around the house with the hair gel or whatever it was

yer valid point, i reckon it was because he was so pumped with anger to do with his coat that he just forgot about "the pain"

He was definitely exaggerating when he said that, because I've never seen even one picture, video or performance from the 1980s in which he's been wearing heels. There's one video in which he's wearing Cuban heeled boots, but that's because the video has a flamenco / Latin American vibe to it, which doesn't really count. In fact, the earliest picture I've seen of him wearing anything with an obvious heel was on the cover of a single he did in 1994 called Sex Drive with an Italian (I think) production team called Glam.

I was too busy thinking how scary it would be being chased by Pete Burns in the darkness :shocked:. But you're right in your obsrvation, Ruth. If Pete claims to have problems with his legs forcing him to wear high heeled shoes it certainly didn't show as he darted around the house and garden and jumping on to tables barefoot. :nono:
