Well?

Do you think they have been watching this series thinking 'God we ******ed up' for axing it seeing as it seems alot of people have turned to BB again after last year's fail?

I'm not making this thread like 'Yay dey r goin 2 bring big bruv bk x' because they won't do that and they'd look like complete bellends if they did for going back on their decission.

I do think their revamp will fail epicly in their face, hopefully by this time Big Brother is on Channel Five which will hopefully be doing fine with their revamp while C4 is a mess.

It'll be like 'Ha Screw You!' to Channel 4.

Another reason C4 couldn't bring BB back is because Endemol and Five are probably in talks for BB12 because Five did say they are in the process of picking new shows and they will be announced soon.

But what do you think?
Do you reckon the producers feel stupid for axing their biggest show now?

I don't know maybe. Maybe in the future it will be brought back. There are so many TV Shows that stopped but then made a big comeback. So maybe when were older and old enough to audition! :D

In all honesty. I think they dropped it because they could not afford it.
Have they not had a few money problems this past while?

Not at all, they have wanted rid of it ever since the race row, hence why they have deliberately driven the ratings down.

Yeah, big money problems.

Probably the reason for the sh*tty BB10 House.

True.

That'd give people enough time to forget the whole Funeral thing lol So they wouldn't look like dolts for bringing it back after making that trailer and stuff.

I dont think so! Their ratings are awful, and on a free fall, for aboyut 3 years!
Theyve done the best they can with the show, and now they should axe it!

I think if anything, they either are gonna let another channel have a go at it. That might makie it more fun, and more outrageous, without worrying about OFCOM, or they might take it back up in a few years, if its missed!

Either way, CH4 is too PC to make BB interesting. The housemates dont get alcohol, everything is stamoped. You cant argue, you cant do anything agressive or whatever thats called. most other BB shows, you can be as aggressive as you want, unless you dont hit anyone.
Watch Dick Donato in BBUSA 8, and see what he coudl get away with!

Nope, not one bit. Yeah, it's 500K - 1m up on viewing figures, but it's still nowhere near as popular as it used to be. And after this year, it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. I genuinely think, as ILoveTRW said, they are embarrassed to still be showing it ever since the Race Row. And I don't think they have the money [to waste] either.

At the end of the day, C4 is a business. It's in it's best interests to axe a no longer as popular or good show.

Sadly, times move on. It's the end of an era.

If Channel 4 did in a couple of years decide to bring Big Brother back if Channel 5 don't buy it, do you think Endemol would let them have the contract again?

Or will it be a case of 'You had your chance!'

I think the difference between the UK and the US is that the show (and especially not the station) is not held responsible for a housemates actions and all the blame is put on the housemate. If that had happened in the race row BB would probably still be alive.

See what Im saying PAtrick!?? LOL! :)
NO one could get away with that on BB. Ofcom would be going crazy, dick ejected, and the bullyings calls will be everywhere!

BB needs to get to the point where they can have a channel who can get away with that!

I dont think they regret axing BB, cause as others have said, they cant afford it.

I don't care if they regret it because they are no longer doing the show any favours anyway, downward spiral that needs a more experienced/relaxed pilot to pull it out of, or crash it into the ground, whatevs.

No. big Brother has been so massive that other shows that were potentially great have not had a chance to grow because they were in the shade of the giant oak tree of BB.

Wow, if you think the effects and stuff on the tasks over here are annoying, check out this clip. How *******ing annoying is the music over what could have been an entertaining clip.

BB is well overdue to be handed its hat and shoved onto the sh*ttest channel in the world. Channel four and most other people will simply look down on it as more channel 5 trash. Presented no doubt by Keith Chegwin.

It could go either way. Ch4 could regret axing it as depsite the ratings dip it remains one of their most watched shows doesn't it? But, at the same time apparently the next I'm A Celeb could be the last so maybe they'll assume reality TV is dead.

If more people are tuning in they are only tuning in BECAUSE it is the last series, not because it is wildly entertaining.

IMHHO this is the worse BB yet, house filled with cry baby whingers who are out to spoil other people's enjoyment in the house.

In all fairness the've had those sort of idiots since BB6. Orlaith was irritation personified and then BB7, 8, 10 and 11 have had more and more housemates and so there's a higher chance of walkers. BB11 has a lot of pressure to live up to the glory days, which I think it's atleast trying, if only it wasn't afraid of Ofcom.

i agree plus i'll never be the same because of the alcahol issues and what is correct to say/ i think it's now had it's day and anyone with any sense would run a mile by keeping it going/:xyxwave:

BB helped Channel 4 and i think channel 4 liked that they were at the centre of controversy in the early years, then the race row happened and i don't think channel 4 liked it then and wanted rid of BB before it could do any damage to the channel.

No - it has been a complete farce this year - just further proof that bb has had its day!

No I think theyre glad to be rid of it at this point.

They dont even seem to give it much of a push anymore.

Channel four have taken a risk by not renewing the contract, while it is possible another television station picks up the contract and makes a go of it that would only be a little embarassing for C4.

C4 are hoping whatever they get/have lined up to replace it next year attracts not only more viewers than BB but also attracts more money from sponsors and advertisers. Its if the replacement program(s) dont generate the same or greater revenue than BB for the station they are going to be very embarassed
