all these stunts taking the housemates out of the house, exposing them to large audiences even before they went in to the house and repeated exposure to outside influences, is this not making a farce out of what big brother was originally supposed to be?

if this is what channel 4 are gonna do, I am glad they have axed it and hope that if it comes back, the producer might treat it with a bit more respect.

this series is lost, no point in complaining about the deviations from original format any more, just hope for better in the future if another channel gets it.

Tbh it had the makings of its downfall right from the first series, it's just over time they've become more apparent and each year the show tries to outdo itself

One of the only major problems with this series is HMs leaving the house for the tasks or intruders coming in.

Yes. Yes they are.

But do they care? Not one bit.

This year it's been ridiculous. When Lisa and Dave went out in those costumes it actually turned out to be quite an entertaining task and nobody knew who they were and there was no influence but this year... sending them out on eviction night when people are there shouting and waving banners etc. It's just giving them a chance to scheme and plot who they should get out to give themselves a better chance.

I thought going into the house meant no contact with the outside world. It's BS.

I am getting more and more shocked with how much "outside world" contact they are having. Wouldn't have done it in the olden days.

Yeah, it's an absolute travesty or, as PEJ would say, a "soap opera" ..... personally, I think it's become an "entertainment" for pre-teen females, with silly "tasks" and "sweetie" parties .....

Corin declares the task "easy peasy" as they survey the tokens representing party goodies including decorations, songs, sweets, alcohol, carrots and apples.
