Agree.
Even though I have a 'purist problem' with HMs being allowed to have that kind of information.
However,
I suppose because it was the last of series it was irresistible especially when these HMs got a little uninterested.

I think you may be onto something here - it may be called out as unfair and a rule-breaker in the game,
so,
yeah, maybe they are saving that for an All-Stars where really any sort of thing goes.

Now the problem with Davina McCaw?
It works great once but then HMs become fearful to discuss anyone if they think it will be repeated later.

But a clever and hilarious gimmick from BB all in all hehe!

First, what was it intended and expected to accomplish?
Simply to stir Housemates by passing on gossip.

McCaw accomplished that and (in this case) send JJ into another hissy-fit but more importantly forced invisible Ife to suddenly be exposed as a game-player and put her on 'watch' while others wondered if she might be bad-mouthing them too.
That is what McCaw set out to do and did do.
