That would explain quite a lot about Sam. A very strange person imo. He seems quite close to the edge to me, masquarading some bravado but I think he could fall apart in an instant.

I was very surprised with how quickly Sam walked away and burst into tears when he confronted John James. A very childish thing to do. Josie was right he had been laughing up to minutes before it. Also he seemed to fall asleep very quickly, so makes you wonder how much he was upset.
