Should Shipwrecked Battle of the Islands have been cancelled?

I didn't watch the original Shipwrecked series between 2000 and 2002 or the first Battle of the Islands in '06 but was hooked on the '07 series which I'm told wasn't as good as '06. The '08 and '09 series were also both good but IMO I prefered the '07 one still.

Should there have been a Shipwrecked 2010? Or was it right to be cancelled?

I was always checking Ch4 and Wikipedia for any news because my mate was gonna apply for it this year but then one day Wikipedia reported it had ended, but there's no available sources to explain why. :(

Imagine spending 15 weeks on a tropical island, though I don't think I'd have liked the tinned lamb's tongues tbh lol
