Anthea Turner has called off a tour of her new one-woman stage show following poor ticket sales, it emerged today.

The 49-year-old former Blue Peter and GMTV presenter had hoped to clean up with a stage spin-off of her Perfect Housewife screen show.

But with less than a month to go before the show at Preston's Charter Theatre was due to take place, only two tickets had been sold at the 780-seat theatre.
