View Full Version : Another Reason Why Dave is a Liar
On LF the other night, and to Ben a few weeks back, Dave said that he knew Rachel Rice personally, and that he had met her. Naturally, Rachel has no recolection of ever meeting or coming across Dave, and therefore he has created yet another farce thinking it may further him in the game; it's repulsive.
His stories go on to change, as a few nights ago on LF he said that 'this year's BB has good housemates unlike Rachel Rice from BB9'. So not only has he lied about meeting her, but he has also slagged off someone who was a far better person than he can ever even imagine being.
The house went on to have more discussions about Rachel Rice, with JJ saying that you didn't have to be entertaining to win BB, and gave Rachel Rice as an example to this statement. Dave added that she was very boring.
Dave is a straight-up twat.
he met her on bblb.
Any proof of this? It's not about Ben, it's Dave.
Rachel has said that she can't remember ever having met him (Dave).

She said she had no recollection of meeting him - doesn't necessarily mean she hasn't! She could have met him at some bash somewhere on a very casual basis - and it was quickly wiped from her mind!
Don't know about you - but I know I have certainly been in situations were someone claims to know me that I can't recall - only to have it finally dawn on me months later - that I had met them before, after all!

I understand your point. However, Dave stated that he personally knows Rachel, and not that they have simply met once. Therefore, at least some parts of his tale can be confirmed as a lie, as Rachel doesn't even remember having ever spoken to him, let alone personally knowing him.

Yes, actually, she's a family friend of mine; as some forum members who know could back me up on. I could print screen what her mum wrote if you want me too. There's no reason for me to lie about something like this!

Awww seriously... who cares? Rachel could well have met him and not recall it. I meet loads of people every week and I don't remember them all any more than they remember me.

It is entirely possible and even 'likely' that someone would remember meeting Rachel Rice (especially after her win),
yet,
she would not remember meeting them (especially after her win when thousands introduce themselves at every public turn).
The next problem you have is that it 'could' be that Rachel Rice is the one who is lying.
The next problem is your *therefore* because I don't think most people on Earth can see David thinking such a story would 'further him in the game'.
His stories go on to change, as a few nights ago on LF he said that 'this year's BB has good housemates unlike Rachel Rice from BB9'.
Here you say the stories 'go on to change'. You don't give us the changed story.
You just report that he offered an opinion about Rachel's performance inside BB9.
Did he say (previously) that this years housemates had worse housemates than Rachel Rice?
It's almost as if you have no idea how 'stuff works' and where to follow logical sequence or why people 'say stuff'?
Can you clarify this seemingly nonsensical post please?

By saying that his stories 'go on to change' I meant that if he really claims to know her personally, why would he then go on to say she was extremely boring in BB9? If she was boring to him, why would he have even been remotely interested in saying that he knew her personally?
Also, you say that Rachel may have lied. But sorry to go personal here, but isn't Rachel your favorite housemate of all time? :)
And we have no reason to doubt your honesty, do we? Or Rachels?
You say "I could print screen what her mum wrote " Who told you she had never met Dave, Rachel or her mum?
Fair enough, her mum said so. Having said that, Rachel is extremely close to her mum, a sort of parental 'best friend' figure, one could call it.

So because Dave said she was boring in BB9 along with the other housemates, either Rachel told her mum who told you or her mum could have just said that Rachel doesnt know him off her own back?
Either way it could have just been said because one or the other of them was a bit miffed that Dave called Rachel boring.
Then again maybe Rachel just cant recall knowing him?
yes please, if you don't mind doing that.
sure. I'm only writing what I've heard from her afterall!

If you look at the title I wrote 'Another Reason Dave is a Liar', and not that this was the only reason. From lying about replacing himself with Rachael White in week 1 as she was 'probably the most popular housemate and therefore she was sure to be safe' to lying right to Sam Pepper's face after having bitched to him a few minutes back. I try to justify his lying, but a new lie seems to pop around every other day!
must be the royal we!!!

The fire in my belly for Dave has started to dwindle since his tactics have sunk to the level of divide and conquer instead of being himself but the OP is clearly confused about the point they are trying to make here. The two examples are unrelated and at best point to the fact that he has name dropped someone he may have met briefly. If you are looking to pin a liar tag on any current HM there is one self confessed liar winging her way to the final as we speak. Try not to let your hate cloud your judgement.

I dont know if this conversation is going right over your head, but as you stated Another reason, you havent provided any sort of reason, backed up with facts he did in fact lie about knowing her.
My binmen empty my bins weekly, I leave them a generous tip every christmas, if one of them told a mutual friend friend he knows me, he would be telling the truth. If that mutual friend then said to me "you know Barry binns" I would say "no i dont I dont recognise the name". Doesnt mean either of us is lying does it?
So in fact heading the thread with the title another reason is actually you lying to us..... again!!!!

By saying that his stories 'go on to change' I meant that if he really claims to know her personally, why would he then go on to say she was extremely boring in BB9? If she was boring to him, why would he have even been remotely interested in saying that he knew her personally?
Now it's not a 'changing story' but instead some situation where you seem to be surprised a story was told.
Let's look at this 'surprise mention of something' and see if there is a real problem.
Years ago David watches BB9 and finds Rachel 'not exciting'.
OK.
A year later David meets Rachel in a pub or Tesco's or somewhere.
OK.
So far so good yes?
David remembers meeting her. She is the winner of BB9 and famous.
OK. makes sense yes? Okay good.
Rachel does not remember meeting David. He was not famous. She has thousands of people meet her in after her win.
OK. Easy. Happens all the time in life.
Now a year later David is actually IN Big Brother himself!
OK.
Now people are funny. When they are in Big Brother and having conversations with people in Big Brother they may find themselves discussing.. Big Brother things!
They also may do something we call 'comparing'. They compare their season to previous seasons.
This is strange but true and happens to nearly everyone.
OK.
At some point in a conversation David offers his opinion that his season's people are 'more exciting than Rachel Rice'.
No problem.
It's true this was his opinion and 'perception' of the people.
David also mentions he met Rachel Rice. It's not necessary for him to mention this,
but,
It was something 'related' to the conversation and perhaps someone else in the group may hear it and share some meetings they had with either Rachel or other BB people.
This is interesting to the HMs who enjoy and learn and exchange ideas by this way of 'discussing' and 'remembering people' and 'sharing experiences'.
How is ANY of this confusing or surprising or unusual to you?
Where do you see any sort of 'logical contradiction' to ANYTHING we have in that scenario?
Also, you say that Rachel may have lied. But sorry to go personal here, but isn't Rachel your favorite housemate of all time? :)
Yes, Rachel Rice is one of my all-time favourite BB contestants.
What you did was wrongly suppose that someone had to be 'lying'.
I disagree,
but,
even if we did suppose one of them had to be lying then it could be either David OR Rachel.
From a 'logical' pov which is what you took. You gave a 'logical sequence' and a 'therefore'.
I have a question though..
Do you find many many things in life seem to 'make no sense'?
Do you find many people in your life are constantly saying things which seem 'weird' or 'senseless'?
Do you find people's choices often seem baffling or inexplicable to your eyes?
On a daily basis.
Do you see that most people, most times are saying and doing things that are totally senseless and strange in ways you don't understand at all or attribute to some motives they don't want to admit to?

Fantastic! (as usual) :worship:
I admire your energy to put that together. I wanted to say something like that earlier but couldn't be arsed because at the end of the day it seems that a lot of people on here ignore the obvious on purpose or because it is convenient to their fanship.

I read through all of that. However, what I was saying was that David said he personally knew Rachel. Maybe he was using the wrong term, but to me, 'personally' means genuinely having had a meaningful conversation with that person and knowing a little bit (at least) about each other. It really depends on how you want to perceive what Dave has said. Clearly, you see it as just having 'met Rachel once', whilst I see it as 'had gotten to know Rachel on a personal level'.

You didn't tell us that. You only told us that your conclusion was based on David saying he met her.
'Met her' refers to a one time incident.
'Knew her' could refer to a personal and ongoing relationship but you gave us 'knew her and had met her'.
Do you recall the actual quote in context or is there a clip of this somewhere?
What was the wording used?
Do you find that a lot of things people say and do seem 'weird' and 'inexplicable' to you?

Dave isn't the most entertaining housemate in the world but he is certainly more entertaining than Rachel.
So if Dave is more entertaining than Rachel why does he need to use her name to make himself look more important?
Maybe dave has changed since he met rachel e.g different hair etc....
