I get a bit cheesed off that people watching BB dont seem to like housemates with opinions, yet when we get winners like Rachel and Cameron and Sophie everyone moans, so what would your ideal housemate be, dont give names of previous housemates what personality traits do you look for?

I love it when the housemates have an opinion. My problem is when they try forcing it on to other people, as they believe their opinion is the only one that matters.

I agree, I was thinking the same.

JJ has been the most opinionated and everyone seems to hate him on here, but I think without the likes of him, it would have been really boring.
He has brought out the best and worst of people and made it interesting to watch.

Totally agree and I like people who can explain their opion without resorting to an argument and overshouting others.

Opinionated people do that!

I am quite aware of that.
I was answering to the whole post as against the title.
So my reply would suggest that NO, I do not like opinionated people. I find them very rude and arrogant, in the house, as in the real world.

Sorry, thought you said you like people with opinions, but not when they try forcing it on others.
My remark was to say most opinionated people do tend to try to force it on others. The both go hand in hand.

I dont mind HMs that are not afraid to say their opinions but not to force it onto others.
Nadia was my favourite HM and she often spoke her opinion.
But thats not enough to win.
A HM has to make me laugh without it looking like s/he is provoking or pushing someone into a position of feeling picked on.This is why I dont like Sam,he does things not as a joke that everyone can laugh off but he does and say very personal things like hiding someones treasured items not just for a few hours but until the person reacts and blows their top, thats provocation.

I like HMs that can play the game clever without doing anything that can ruin someone elses time in the house, but sometimes I just like a HM because they have that something about them, naturally funny in conversation rather than the Sam type of humour that all looks well rehearsed.

My favourite HMs ever were Kate,Brian D,Michelle,Nadia,Aisleyne.

Well said smudgie. :)

Skippy is incapable of conveying independant thoughts in a measured way that gets the ideas across. That being said, and unlike Smudgie, I like independant thinkers rether than bluddy sheep who just go along with things to try to appear nice and agreeable.

Ah yes, I can see that.
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough in my first post. I think we both agree , but I can never be sure when reading the written word as against a conversation.

I love opinionated housemates, just not ones that hurt and humiliate others to get theirs across,I loved Rex,Freddie and Ben so I like a diverse mixture of people, not one dimensional, two faced bully types.

They only like the white ones, even though, they still get voted off.
