According to the BBC News Website (http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4643056.stm) a reality TV show where

Wannabes queued up to conceive a baby with a stranger live on air for a £100,000 prize.

was actually a spoof, to see how low people will go in this medium.

And Sticks I actually watched this programme - couldnt believe it. People were actually willing for £1,000 to conceive a child with someone they didnt know and werent likely to see again. And, above all some of the programme buyers were seriously considering it. In fact at the end they showed a promo for a programme in Holland called I dont want your love I want your baby, where a woman who didnt want a long term relationship but just a baby was in a programme where she tried to find the perfect 'sperm donor' for her child.
