Except it never happened, what you are referring to is the practice of the family keeping the sheets of the bed when the marriage was consumated, in both the Jewish and Muslim faith, if the new husband decided he didnt like the wife he would claim that she wasnt virginal, the brides family would produce the sheets to prove the new husband had in fact deflowered her.

He did go over the line, I'm not arguing about that. I'm sure once Dave knows the strength of feeling of some people, he'll be mortified. I was bought up in a christian family where nobody talked about sex either before or after marriage and that prudishness has carried on with me. I find your culture absolutely disgusting and perverse in the worst most degrading sort of way, involves you thrilling in mutilating peoples bodies and demeaning them sexually,
but,
at the end of the day this sexual thrill you get from violence and humiliation comes back to your own self-hatred.
