Since when has such a fauxmance involved any "dumping"? If it's fake - on both sides - from the start, then the end is an inevitability.

Any sorrow is based on the fauxmance's usefulness. It is still useful to JJ1 (in his own mind anyway) but no longer useful to Josie.

I doubt there's any more to it than that. :)
