No they let over Eight onto the roof

I'm educated perfectly, thanks very much Hulk.

He's just trying to cover up the fact that the house is shoddy. Not one aerial view of the house shows a "gully".

They see when people on forums are saying that the flood was staged, but yet they never seem to listen when people on forums come up with ideas that would improve the show and prove that some of the twists and tasks just don't cut it anymore.

I think its true that the socks blocked the drains, seems reasonable and the housemates did put them up there.

Well made but bad for a Roof Gully.

Sorry but what are the odds of 8 pairs of socks landing on the same gutter/drain?

Even if they did, the rain would just overflow and spill out the side - not somehow make it's way on the roof.

The rain was clearly beating the fragile roof.

Biggest load of shi* ever.

Shardlake
18-08-2010, 05:35 PM
People doubting that balled up socks can block the flow of water in a roof gutter - next time it rains climb up the top of your house and put some in the gutter

See what happens

The Roof has a Slope over that bit of the house.

paid for what bigger drains?

All they had to do was get off their fat arses and clear the gutter once in a while and it wouldnt have happened

Gutters go a bit UNDER the edge of the house, so the water would not have overflowed about 2 inches high up onto, and then in the middle of the roof. Either way the roof was unstable.

What a stupid, stupid reason. Ok, let's assume the 8 socks did by large coincidence land on the exact place to block the gutters why did staff not remove them? Did the staff not care to see where the socks landed in case of an emergency? Was a risk assessment not carried out when the house was designed?

Maybe the staff forgot to remove them or didnt realise they had rolled into th gutter.

Do normal risk assessments cover socks?

Lol, they ought to. The ideas that socks were thrown on the roof, blocked the gutter and caused a flood is laughable (everyone was laughing about it on BBLB, I'm laughing about it now) but it is still something that could cause damage if it ended in the wrong place.

If the roof smashed down and killed all the HMs would the production team says "Oh well. It was their fault for throwing socks up there anyway." That may be so, but something should have been done to ensure their safety.

Kaaarenn!

i think the flood was fake i mean come on the leaking in the room would of been enough it went ott when the whole house was flooded and noticed how it was coming down in sets and not near the lights if the flood was real the eletrics would of gone ..

So you didn't see the water flooding out of the light fittings then?

ibook4113
18-08-2010, 11:19 PM
OKAY... so the eight or more socks that were left in the big brother gutters and not removed by big brother caused the flood. But believe me, to have that much water going into the entire house takes more than eight socks. it was coming through the extractor fan pipes for crying out loud.

Looked like major construction problems going on there and not just a blocked drain or whatever.
