I don't think he could tell the truth if he tried. One minute he wants Chantelle to win, to her face, but behind it, he doesn't etc etc.
Doesn't want Spin Me.....to be re-released my arse! That's why he made a new video of it!

I am sure that some even talked about writing in and complaining and in fact some did complain! I do dislike double standards. I find the booing of any HM irritating and they were all winners they lasted till the bitter end :elephant:

Wrong, Pete stated that he removed himself from the "celeb world" and out of the public eye and said he would work in a laundrett or something normal. Pete is a strong person he fought back at the boo's and he is use to being treated like that so it wont phase him at all. Pete Burns made the show what it was and is a legend and very down to earth and he is 100% himself.

If he goes out of the public eye it will his own choice like he did after being in dead or alive, he cut off the press and stayed low key and I can see him doing that again but after he releases his album.

I no its horrible to say but i was so glad pete got the reaction he did he did deserve it and he may get away with acting like that where he came from but he certainly will not get away with it here.At the end of the day u can't walk around telling everyone to foff just because u feel like it and talk to ppl like that otherwise ppl are not going to give u the time or day and we will certainly not roll out the red carpet for someone like that.
I think its proved who the stronger ppl really are don't you think i mean the ones that thought they were "at the top" said they wouldn't do it again and regretted it and the ones that had alot to deal with from those ppl said they would do it again and didn't regret it at all that says it all really dont u think.
I've always say ppl that bully other ppl and think they are really something special will loose in the end.

To be fair at some point everyone in the house bullied someone else at some time.
Sunny_01
27-01-2006, 11:42 PM
I just dont think anyone deserves that kind of reaction - he did not actually do anything to those people. Also the people that he was rude to in the house chose to let him behave that way towards them, he will only do what people will accept!

I didn't see maggot chantelle traci preston faria or rula bully anyone so thats not everyone, and if you watch the clips back he was the main one starting the arguements in the 1st place then he sits back and watches it like a movie.

Maggot- Comments about Jodie which i cant really type her but he said something which was verbal towards her.
Chantelle- Comments on george especially when around Jodie, again verbal bullying.
Traci- This is one I cant say anything bad against, she was lovely.
Preston- Verbal abuse to George, swearing etc
faria- Peeing in someones tea....enough said EWW!
Rula -Talking when Traci was in the bedroom and behind peoples backs all the time.
Don't get me wrong these were all less bullying characters than the likes of Jodie and Pete but they also class some bullying traits just like most people do just some do it alot more than others.

but is it right someone can walk around and use bad language whenever they feel like it and talk to ppl like rubbish and put someone down that much they are in tears i don't. Maybe try respecting ppls feelings i'm not saying every1 was perfect in the house.
A bully is someone that thinks they have power and intimidates ppl that are weaker than they are, those ppl you mentioned above were not bullying other ppl that is not what bullying is yes it was an arguement or a disagreement but was not bullying. The only ppl that showed bullying was pete michael with the arguement with jodie and dennis didn't do himself any favours sitting there coming across as though he was making threats.George started having ago at preston and michael because he couldn't get his own way so does it make preston and michael bullies just because they stood up and defended themselfs would that make you a bully if you stood up for yourself.
This is my opinion at the end of the day ppl have their own views and this is mine.
Sparkle
I dont think those chants were justified, Davina needs to control the crowd a bit more, its pathetis all that on the final, it ruins it all

Didn't manage to drop by while this was actually on (doubt anyone remembers me anyway  ) but for my money, Pete was the best housemate this year.
I have to admit, when I first saw him, my initial reaction was :puzzled:
But in terms of sheer honesty, he had a lot over the rest of them.
And what can I say, I like sarcasm.

Yes.
They're all adults, and able to answer back, walk away or react in whatever manner they want to (within reason). You're actually insulting the other hm's far more than you're defending them with comments like that.
This never happened. Marsh feigned tears after she'd been exposed - that's frustration at her own stupidity, and nothing more. Malibu Traci cried about the comments made by Preston when he was shown with George on the plasma screen, nominating her in the diary room. It had nothing to do with Pete.
That works both ways. For example, if nobody had been invading other people's personal space, he'd never have had any disagreement with Rula. And if nobody in the house had told lies, then he'd never have had any problems with Chantelle, Preston, or Marsh (the fact that she's incapable of honesty is no excuse whatsoever). Respect is reciprocal - you need to give it in order to receive it.
You have the wrong definition here. What you seem to be describing is a perfectly normal, rational individual, surrounded by ten lily-livered sycophants. Is that how you really saw the other hm's?
There was only one bully in the house this year, and it was the first evictee.
That may well be the case. However, if nobody had ever spoken up when the opinions of others were inaccurate, fundamentally lacking even the vaguest trace of evidence and highly improbable, then we'd all still believe that the world was flat.
I loved Pete at the beginning, but was not so keen towards the end. However, I really don't like all the booing. And I find it really ironic that someone who complained so heavily about Makosi getting booed, thought it was really funny to see someone else get the same treatment. That's basically saying it's wrong if someone you like gets booed, but it's okay if you don't like that person and they get booed.
Whether you like Pete or not (as I have already said, I didn't, although he had me in stitches sometimes), if that kind of behavious is unacceptable for one HM to receive, then it's unacceptable for all of them.

At the end of the day it was pete that layed into traci then walked into the kitchen and boasted to the rest of the group that he had just ripped her apart for a laugh, nobody else in the house was nasty to someone just for the fun of it.If you think petes behaviour is normal then you have a lot to learn about respect, because most of the ppl who saw BB saw a person using his vocabulary as a tool to bully some of the other HM's.
At the end of the day the publics response when he left the house said it all,the majority of the ppl saw pete for what he is and thats a nasty 2faced bully.

He was being tongue-in-cheek. Even Malibu Traci herself, who's hardly the most quick-witted of people, was fully aware of that fact both during and after the conversation. Life is a constant learning process for those with their eyes and ears open, but I'm afraid that this particular thread hasn't provided any enlightenment on this occasion. If you look around this forum, you'll see that numerous regulars dismissed the 'bullying' fantasy out of hand at every opportunity, so the word 'most' really wouldn't be applicable here. Pete didn't leave the house to face 'the public’; he left to face an audience which we essentially have no knowledge of. To say they were a representative cross-section of CBB viewers as a whole would be grossly inaccurate. Pete received more than double the amount of votes that Malibu Traci managed, and wasn't too far behind Preston, either. So what we actually saw last Friday night was a crowd that had no real correlation with those that voted, and nothing more.

I think the thing you are missing Sparkle is we are more surprised that FMs who complained about Makosi being booed and even went as far as to write to BB makers about it felt it was ok for Pete to be booed and one in fact opened this thread. As of yet we have not had a response from any of the people who complained. Silence is deafening sometimes dont you think?
I agree with CS as well. I would not like to think that the audience at the evictions was a fair representation of the public. I certainly would not behave that way towards another human being.

I don't think Pete should have been booed like that, he was no where near Makki's low standards.
But in a way, I'm almost glad he was booed instead of one of the other HMs, I don't think any of the others could have handled it as well as he did.

Sunny_01
30-01-2006, 12:24 PM
and we were all discussing the behaviour of the crowd!
I do agree with a lot of the things you have said about Pete though, I personally think he is very rude, but like I have said before he will talk to people in a way that they will allow him to. HMs allowed him to behave in a terrible way so he did simple as that really!
If the other housemates had stood up to Pete more then he would never of acted like he did towards some of the them, he knew the majority of them would not argue back so he said and did what he wanted.
